    @Marydoll5

    Sorry you are having more trouble :( I think you did everything you could in that situation and hopefully they receive the extra information you gave. I don't know how prescriptions work in Northern Ireland but over here they can change the medicines without even needing to speak so maybe that will happen and you get the right ones when you pick them up??

    I had a lot of issues with anemia several years ago @Marydoll5! It really does make you far more tired and lethargic. It sounds like he certainly needs to be taking some kind of iron supplements. The issue is that some iron supplements can have bad side effects with your stomach and bowels, so it's about finding the right one.

    Thanks @66Mustang. We are behind the times here. We have to order by phone then wait 72 hours to collect. The ferrous gluconate brought his iron levels up in 2 weeks but I'm worried that the gp seems to be suggesting an endoscopy and worst case scenario so I thought I'd let him know the gluconate does the trick.

    @Ada my partner is like you on the phone too and it's hard to take in information when you're nervous so well done for switching your phone on x

    Just got out from the vets
    Kept me waiting ages

    They are concerned felix swelling not gone down. It's rock hard
    Gave him more antibiotics and brenorphine
    He needs urgent bloods but they can't squeeze him in until 24 may
    Need to check his kidneys first before making any decisions
    If bloods OK they will do xray to see what's going on, if it's abcess or cancer or something else
    If all OK only then will they remove the tooth
    I hope it's not bad news

    YAfternoon My lovely Scope Family.

    Hey @Lou67 No doc hasn’t rang. But. 😱 don’t tell me off.  I turned my phone off ( I use a very old phone for calls. Even older than this one. )
    and Ive kept it off. Until mr gets up. I just wasn’t in the mood for talking.
    I struggle with the telephone chats as much as I do with everything.
    Hi Ada sorry just getting back to you I’ve been busy today and now I’m feeling a bit sore so going to have a hot bath and take it easy.

    I’m sorry you weren’t able to keep your phone on but it must be hard if you don’t like talking on the it.
    But as everyone else has said you’ll have to get they results to be able to deal with it.
    Would your partner phone tomorrow for you. I just want you to be ok and not hurting anymore than you already do. ❤️

    @ada I don't find it rude, I think everyone has people they can relate to more and people who they can't relate to as much, it doesn't mean you think anyone is better than anyone else, just that you share more experiences and traits with some people

    That's how I feel anyway, I try to help (and get help from) everyone but I think naturally I will b e more helpful towards certain people, but I still view everyone here equally if that makes sense :blush:

    @Sandy_123
    I hope your back pain eases hopefully you have your hot water bottle on it.

    @Beaver79
    Glad you got out in your garden in the sunshine you have to make the most off it while it’s there.

    @Amberpearl
    I really hope things improve with your cat I’m sorry you’ve to wait till the 24th for bloods for him. I would keep calling and ask if they have any appointments that someone has cancelled.

    ❤️

    I don't have much experience but I'm surprised a vet has so few appointments, or such a wait for an appointment, seeing as you presumably have to pay quite a hefty sum of money to go

    Is going to an alternative vet an option??

    Here in Scotland the PDSA is a charity and if you are on certain benefits they ask you to make a donation off what you can afford.They do an amazing job.
    That is where I had to take my mums dog when he was I’ll, then they had to put him to sleep as he was to poorly.

    @Sandy_123
    Oh pity the weathers to change again, I really hope we get a half decent summer.

    Yeah could yous not cook the food inside and eat it in the garden.  Hopefully everyone will bring something with them so your not left to do all the cooking. 😊

    @Beaver79

    @Beaver79 it's always the way isn't it, we do something then next day we can't. I've had a slow day today and just sat in the garden.
    I might just suggest that @Lou67 saves all the faffing, quicker in the oven or on the George grill.
