Hi @Sandy_123 and @Lou67 thanks for asking I had a lovely time!!!
We went to a restaurant that was really informal and nice but the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We had a roast and they cooked the vegetables only a bit so they were still crunchy which I think is fashionable at the moment, not for everyone, but I really like them like that
We then went to a care home to meet someone who sadly can't come out to meet us anymore and they were on really good form. They have dementia but they were very lucid and aware and very much their old self which was nice to see
In all honesty I don't really enjoy going to this care home but I do like seeing the person we go to meet. There is nothing wrong with the home and the staff do a perfect job, they do more than they really need to in fact. But it's just sad seeing that people get to the point in life where they need that, and that most of them aren't going to be going home again
Overall it was a lovely day
I hope you had a nice day as well, if you got up to anything!! Or even if you didn't I hope it was relaxing4 -

@Sandy_123 & @Ada
and anyone else it might help.
I had my appointment with the Leap Advisor this morning he came to my home, he was really lovely gave lots off energy saving advice, he fitted new draft excluders on 2 off my doors they are new foam type ones so easy to take off and slide back on if needed. Also gave me energy saving bulbs.
He has also awarded me a new cooker it’ll be delivered in about 4 weeks and they fit it and take away my old one. I also could’ve gotten a fridge freezer but it was to big for the space I have.
Im truly grateful for their help.
It’s an amazing charity and open in Scotland England and Wales yous should look it up and see if it would be off any help to yous.Scope Advisors I hope yous don’t mind me giving this information, I’m sure I’ve asked before and was told yous were happy for it to be discussed.

It's still hammering down @Rosie_Scope.I don't think I'll be going anywhere today.1

@66Mustang
Yes it’s amazing I’m so grateful for their help. Anyone that is on certain benefits can get help from them, I’m not sure if others on low income could also get help but it’s worth people looking in to it.My friend found out about it and told me.I asked the man that was here was it just last year it started he sd it’s been going about 4 year. I had never heard off it until last year. There’s probably more help out there it’s just finding it out.

@Sandy_123
Aww that’s nice you met your old colleague and had a gab.
No they aren’t an energy provider I think they are a charity that just helps people.They are great you should google them and have a read they are called Leap Energy.❤️1 -
Hi @Ada I did see your posts yesterday but I could only get my phone out for a few seconds as was with people and didn't want to seem rude, I did put a "like" on your posts but sorry for not replying with a message
@Sandy_123 I think we have rain on the way too today or tomorrow0 -
It's started here @66Mustang the grounds need it0
-
The ground is all cracked in the garden here too, it'll be good to have a bit of rain to soften it up again.
We had an amazing thunderstorm the other week, tons of lightning and thunder at about 3am, I'm hoping we get one in the daytime next time. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea especially if you've got animals that get scared, but I love watching a storm!
Hope the rain isn't too bad for those of you who need to get out, though0 -
