Morning all I hope yous have a great day whatever yous are doing.
My granddaughter has just been picked up she’s going to the beach with her mum dad and sister.
I will be taking flowers to my dads grave with my mum later he would’ve been 80 today, it’s hard to imagine him at 80 as he was only 57 when he died. 😢@durhamjaide2001
Hiya don’t worry about it’s easy to get mixed up with posts.@66Mustang & @Sandy_123
Hi do yous have plans today.@talis & @han233

It's boiling here after a misty start.
Mr Teigr wants to take the dog for a walk but I think it's too hot for her.

Some tags work and some don't @Sandy_123 ,not sure if it's the same for everyone.
1 -
Just a tip for everyone but if you type out a tag and the box doesn't appear, that suggests it won't work, so you have to delete the name and the "@" you've just written and try again
You seem to have to click the person you want from the drop-down box, if you just type out the full name it doesn't seem to work
That's how it is for me anyway…it just seems a bit temperamental

@66Mustang that worked thankyou but keep having to edit all the time is a bore, same as mmy Words double up when I press space bar and then often when I post, most of it only shows what I typed. So it's constant editing
@lou67 didn't work that time lol
that's a shame your dad lost his life so early, bit of a sad day for you and your mom going to cemetery.
your grandaughter will love the beach
@tteigr it's very hit and miss

Yes it’s definitely temperamental sometimes it works when I delete and try again and other times it won’t work.
@66Mustang
Aww it was awful my dad worked hard all his live he was a concrete ganger so did heavy manual work , he had to stop work 2 years before he died he had Emphysema.@Teigr
Enjoy the sunshine it’s just coming out here to it was a scorcher yesterday.❤️

that's what my dad had @Lou67 but hhis Was due to being in the mines, he was in them at age 14. He did get a pay out from coal board but it was after he died. Not a nice thing to have

@Sandy_123

My Great Granddad worked in a mine in Yorkshire and it sounded like rough work
Apparently he released a mine cart as a joke which resulted in someone losing a hand, so they smashed a lantern on his head which caused him to be blind in one eye and deaf in one ear
He was later called for military service which he ignored because he thought his disabilities meant they wouldn't want him
He was arrested by military police and taken to the barracks about an hour's drive away, where they told him they didn't want him because he was blind in one eye and deaf in one ear
He had to make his own way home
Such different times 😳

I hope you have a lovely day @Lou67, when someone so close to you passes it can be difficult even after so many years. I think it's lovely you still visit on his birthday. Thank you for your wishes as well ❤️
@66Mustang I am quite the fan of cocktails too. I don't think I have a favourite but if I see a cocktail (or mocktail if I'm avoiding alcohol) menu I'll often pick the one I find most unusual or interesting. I love trying new flavours.
It's taken me some time to get used to the new comment box too @Sandy_123. I think it does require selecting the person you want to ping from what shows up when you type. For me it's most getting used to how the emojis now work 😅
And ah, I refreshed before posting and see Mustang's second post. Yes, things certainly were different back then! Can't imagine that happening now in the UK, better for it too. I've heard some horrible stories from older family members about the things that could happen.

@66Mustang
Aww my that’s such a shame what happened to your Great Grandad, oh yes he would’ve worked really hard. It’s amazing all the stories we hear about relatives from years ago how tough they had it.@Jimm_Scope
Thanks Jim yes I still get upset about my dad at times even though it was 23 years ago. I feel sad that my grandkids didn’t get to meet him as he was amazing with my kids.Hi Rubin I hope your keeping well, enjoy your day at your nan’s. I’m going to my mums then over to the graveyard.
@Marydoll5
Just a wee mention so you know your in my thoughts and I hope yous are doing well.❤️

Hi everyone
I hope you have the heat where you are but not the humidity. I'm suffering with tropical moments at my time of life and humidity makes it worse!
I'll not tag as I missed yesterday. I tried those migraine gel patches on my partner's neck and the helped with the head pain. It's a slow recovery and he's hurting more than he's letting on.
Have a lovely afternoon Scopicles 😊
