How is your day going?

@Sandy_123 I will definitely endeavour to go and I shall report back on the experience. Vis-a - vis my wife, it's certainly possible given we are both done in terms of having any future relationships, which is symptomatic of our ages and stage in life more than anything! Who knows, I may in the near future be regaling on this forum, and this particular topic, about a nice (platonic) soirée we have had - stranger things have happened/do happen….

Morning folks, you can thank me for the nice weather, as I put my room fan back up in the attic last night. 😆
Sorry to hear you're shattered @Teigr is there any reason for it? Anything we can do to help?
Heya @Sandy_123 up to anything today? Or still recovering from Hurricane Grandkids?0 -
Morning all, hope you're all doing okay 😊 Looks like it'll be a little warmer again today

Morning @Albus_Scope one of my grandsons wants to stay over, he's 10 so no bother really. As long as I feed him lol.

Morning everyone, hope you all have a good day. Sorry wasn't on yesterday, I went out with my dad and nan for some lunch. Then me and my dad went bingo last night which we both love.
Thanks @Lou67 for your message yesterday, glad you had a good time on your holiday and the pictures look lovely where you were.
@Sandy_123 Have a lovely time with your grandson, hopefully hes not a fussy eater.
@Teigr Hope you manage to have a good day today, despite the housework.
It was really warm last night, I woke up sweating. Looks like a muggy warm day today as well. Hope you all have a good day.

Does he have any favoured food @Sandy_123? I remember that I wasn't exactly very adventurous with food when I was 10.
@rubin16 Never need to apologise for not popping in 🙂 Sounds like you had a great day yesterday. My parents sometimes go down to the bingo and invited us one night. I was a touch skeptical but honestly it was quite fun. Especially having to teach my American partner how to play our version of bingo 😋

Honestly I love bingo. When I tell people that I go bingo sometimes I get funny looks like you're too young, or thats not cool. But honestly its so much fun, and its one thing me and my dad love doing together.
I don't agree normally with gambling, I have excluded myself from all online casinos as I feel they do more bad than good and only the casinos win. So this is my only way of a small gamble. But bingo is different, its not too expensive and you get a night out with the chance of some money back.

@Jimm_Scope he is a bit fussy with spicy food but he loves salmon steak and roasts and pasta so lots of choice

I am mostly the same way with a lot of gambling @rubin16, very much think betting and casinos do so much harm to people. Bingo however I think is alright. I think it's because of how much money can be lost I guess?
@Sandy_123 Ooo, how do you cook your salmon?

@rubin16 I got into bingo during the covid lockdown. A few people got the bingo machines and we played online.
It was the best laugh and I won a few times which was incidental. I remember looking forward to Friday 8pm and logging on with books and dabbers at the ready.
If you got a line or house you photographed your sheet and sent it in to be verified. We ended up with sending jokes in which were read out through the draw.
It was a real highlight and a way to connect with friends during that awful time.
I find it hard to believe even now what we all went through. I miss the craic.
@Sandy_123 that's lovely having your grandson stay.
So glad you and your mum had a good holiday @Lou67 .
We are for Menorca the last 2 weeks of September. I can't wait! Sun, swimming and reading with no cooking or cleaning.....my needs are simple 😊

@Jimm_Scope in butter, garlic, black pepper and salt on the hob. I do have some in the freezer to use one of these days. A nice pepper corn sauce drizzled on top, served with herbed potatoes and veg.
