Good morning everyone on a rainy Bank Holiday Monday 😀
Newcastle should be busy with day trippers if the weather doesn't put them off.

Morning all I hope yous are all doing well since I was last on. I got home from my holiday on Sunday we had a lovely time but it was so hot but I could do with some off it now it’s raining and windy. Here’s a couple off photos.
That’s my mum in 2 of them one was outside a beautiful chapel up in the square, the other was just along from our hotel on the beach. The other was a group of Spanish people all having a cook out it looked so good them all sitting chatting having food together it was the Spanish holidays so so a lot off them on the beach.

Hi I hope your doing good glad you had a nice weekend.@rubin16
Hiya I hope you’re feeling a bit better this morning I’m so sorry you e had to miss your hospital appointment I hope you are able to get one quick once you feel better.
As for the weed dont give yourself a hard time your aware off how you became dependent on it before, so just go easy with it and if you need it now and again and your not doing it the way you did last time you’ll be fine.
You have a good awareness around it and that’s a good thing.@Marydoll5
Aww loved the pictures of your son’s wedding yous all looked amazing 💕 Glad your partners hospital appointment went well, sorry to hear about your brother in law.❤️

Having recently moved back to my home town [after separating from my (second) wife (divorce will be done and dusted by early 2025)], I have been rebuilding my life.
I am fortunate I have been able to rent from my elder sister - it's a terraced house in town but it is nice a quiet, generally speaking.
I bought a mobility scooter in May and it has been brilliant in allowing me to get out and about when I am physically and mentally up to it, which isn't that frequent - I am autistic, have chronic traumatic brain damage with (likely secondary) neuropsychiatric symptoms (diagnosed as bipolar, EUPD and more..), motor syndrome, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis (spine, hands, feet), disc degeneration disease.
Yesterday I paid a visit to the local cricket club which I used to frequent often back in the day (for drinking/social purposes). There is a charity cricket tournament on summer bank holiday, which I have played in previously. So I went along as I was feeling relatively ok and I wanted a change of scene.
Anyhow, I saw lots of people I used to socialise with in the past. I largely kept myself to myself (sat outdoors on my scooter with my headphones on), but lots of people that know me came to say hello and it was nice to "shoot the breeze" and catch up with them. It felt good to reconnect and has made me feel more settled. I spent a few hours there until it started to get a lot busier and louder and my pain level started to become very uncomfortable. All in all I enjoyed it and I was proud of myself. It was therefore a success and overall positive experience in many ways.
I also share this potted summary in the hope others, who like myself, may struggle to get out and interact due to physical/mental impairments, may take some inspiration from it; and as a "good news" story that rebuilding or managing challenges, whilst difficult, can also present positive opportunities.
There is a sense of hope I have taken from the experience.

Thanks @Sandy_123 I appreciate those sentiments. Difficult as it's been, one has to view it as a door opening rather than a door closing. I am also hopeful I can still have my wife in my life to some extent. Who knows, there may be times in the future we can do the odd thing together. I am certainly not averse to that and I have already said to her that is what I would like. Time will tell, and in the interim I will get along and no doubt enjoy a few more days like yesterday.
Yesterday at the cricket club, one of my former rugby team mates told me there is an "old boys" get together this Saturday at the club I used to play for- that usually involves watching the current 1st XV and then indoors for a drink or two ! I definitely can't do the post-match stuff but I'll probably go along to watch the game and catch up with former team mates.
It was nice to "invited":- so as I say doors are opening for me…..and despite anxieties etc it's something I will muster up the courage to do.
