I’m going to submit my claim for UC next week, I don’t want to wait any longer

If I could accept one UC payment a month I would but I just know I wouldn’t be able to push myself to live off that payment frequency. Yes UC has a “world of work approach” but I just cannot accept monthly payments. @cookie80
I’m very happy that Alternative Payment Arrangements are possible. 👍0 -
I hope you get the full run on payment @cookie80, having every possible penny 🪙💶💰 really does help 😁👍.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t give it to you @ChrisSCOPEhtfc94 as you seem to meet the criteria they have listed. As you have explained you are more suited to twice monthly payments.

Thankyou that’s very kind of you to say @ChrisSCOPEhtfc94

I did plan to claim on the day I got an ESA payment last week (Wednesday 5th Feb) @cookie80 but the advisors at CA Help to Claim Service just wouldn’t stop giving me the advice that I should instead claim on the following day. I’m very glad that I followed their advice now 👍👌.

You are most welcome @cookie80 😁😁👍.

A month is a long time to wait between payments @cookie80. I don’t want to keep looking at the calendar 📅, counting down ⬇️ the number of days until the next payment. I shouldn’t be wishing my life away 😂.
To me, payment frequency is just as important as any amount of money 💶.
The twice monthly structure on UC is the closest I’ll get to the old fortnightly structure on Income Related Employment & Support Allowance 👍.0 -
I’m the same @ChrisSCOPEhtfc94. I keep looking at the dates 😂.
I do tend to hyper fixate ☺️

As you’ll know @cookie80, I did my claim by telephone ☎️. I didn’t want to go down the online 👨💻 route for claiming. I just prefer the old-fashioned ways for some things.
I don’t even do online banking.

Yes, I know I’ll have to contact Universal Credit by phone 📲 every time I have a query or if I need to deal with something that’s important. But, I don’t mind having to call them. It was always my preference to have a phone-based claim ✅. @cookie80
For phone claims, if they need you to make contact with them, they drop you a text message 💬.
People talk a lot about the ‘online journal’, that it’s much easier to communicate with UC that way, but an online account isn’t for everyone. Phone calls, talking to someone on the phone, doesn’t daunt me.0 -
I did my claim online @ChrisSCOPEhtfc94. I done it on the 7th Feb. I did receive a migration letter early January and had till April to apply but after reading your posts I decided to apply before that date. It all went smoothly everything was accepted online. I haven’t had no phone calls so far

Yes I understand that a telephone is easier for you. It’s all each person preferences. I choose online and was praying I didn’t have to talk to anyone at job centre. Thankfully so far I have not had a call

If I had an online claim I’d have ended up pressing on too many random buttons. The trouble with me is, I like to see what a button does after pressing it/clicking it. I’d have got fearful that I’d have pressed a button that would’ve done something bad to my claim, one way or another 😂.

Yes, I just prefer the other person on the other end of the phone to do the work for me. 👍

You should have sent it by stagecoach, written on vellum, with quill pen and ink! ;-)

I looked behind each button, and ended up with a journal message stating I had cancelled a change in circumstances. I know what you mean!

Because I’m someone who’s absolutely crazy asking for information ℹ️ that I already have knowledge of, I did another phone call to the Income Related ESA phone line earlier today ☎️📱📞.
Yes I got the answer that I needed on Friday, that my ESA claim is showing as “closed down”, but I wanted to get through to another human 😂.

I had to wait such a long time on the phone 📲 (over an hour 😱) but I got through to a very nice gentleman who again confirmed it to me that my Income Related ESA claim is indeed no longer open. It’s definitely closed down.

Can’t help myself 😂🤣. Even if I already know the answer to something, I just like to get through to someone else 😂🤣.
