This DWP Virtual Agent tells me the info after it asks me some questions to confirm my identity.
The automated voice has been saying this to me: “Your next ESA payment is £318.10. This is after taking off any deductions from your benefits. This will be paid to you on 19th February.” 🗣️🗣️
The Severe Disability Premium/SDP isn’t part of my ESA entitlement. Only the Enhanced Disability Premium/EDP is included. This is why my ESA entitlement adds up to £318.10. 💶💴💷💵🪙0 -
I did a call to the Employment & Support Allowance phone line earlier today to check on the calculated amount for my run on payment next Wednesday (19/2/2025). I got through to an actual human agent, she did a check on my ESA claim and it’s actually showing on their system as the following: “dormant”.

That means it’s closed down, it’s not active now. That’s of relief to me because I won’t have to worry now about getting a further ESA payment after next Wednesday’s payment. 😅
It’s just that you can’t always trust the computer 💻 🖥️ systems of today. A computer error wouldn’t be my fault, a further ESA payment wouldn’t be my fault yet I’d have had to notify UC about the overpayment so they could apply the required deduction. I won’t have to worry about this happening now. 💃🕺💃🕺😅0 -
It was also confirmed to me on the call that the amount I’ll be receiving next week (on the 19th) is the full amount that I usually get, £318.10. 💵💷💶💴🪙💰

Based on other forum users, the amount that someone gets for their run on payment can vary but I’m very happy that I won’t be getting an amount less than the usual fortnightly amount. 🕺💃✅✔️☑️

You may think that I’ll have a 3 week gap without any money 💶 after next Wednesday’s run on payment but for me, that won’t actually be the case. I did my claim for UC in the same week where I got a PIP and ESA payment on consecutive days. I claimed UC at the correct time 👍✅.

My last PIP payment, I got that 10 days ago on 4th Feb.
I got last week’s ESA payment on 5th Feb.
I started the claim for UC on 6th Feb.
Next Wednesday (19th), the run on payment from ESA.
Tuesday 4th March, I get another PIP payment.The day after, 5th March, my first UC statement is produced (my assessment periods 6th - 5th each month).
Wednesday 12th March, my first UC payment.

The PIP payment on 4th March, that’s what helps me avoid a 3 week gap without any money. If it wasn’t for that PIP payment, then I’d have a 3 week gap (19th Feb - 12th March). 📆🗓️📅⏱️⏰

If I was accepting my overall UC entitlement under the default frequency, a single monthly payment, I’d be getting £809.64 on 12 March but it won’t be working that way for me. I’ll be getting my £800+ entitlement split into two 2️⃣ separate payments because I can’t budget. Getting two separate amounts of over £400 each month will be better for me. I can live more comfortably under this structure. ✅✔️☑️

I can’t be accepting a month gap between payments. I know I wouldn’t be able to live comfortably under a monthly structure.
Obviously a Case Manager has to set that up for me but my payments will be set up this way, I will be awarded an APA (two payments per month). ☑️✅✔️

I actually received a ‘migration notice’ at the start of this week and it’s dated 6 February 2025, the same date 📅 📆 that I did my claim.

I don’t think 💭🤔 me triggering a claim 8 days ago (on 6th Feb 2025 📆📅🗓️) actually had anything to do with receiving this migration notice. I bet my name was just selected at the time to receive a letter ✉️.

The DWP are supposedly sending out many more migration notices now. 🆙

They were wanting to ramp up the number ⬆️🔺📈 they were sending out to Employment & Support Allowance claimants from this month (February 📅📆).

The migration notice makes no difference to my claim, I did the claim 4 days before it showed up anyway 👍. It came on Monday (10th). 📅🗓️📆

I have been following your posts ChrisScopehtfc94 and listened to what you said about claiming UC a day after the last ESA payment. I hope I get the full £318.10 payment too. Like you I will be better off on universal credit as I don’t receive SDP payments. Thankyou for updating on your migration journey

If my run on payment had been calculated as a lower amount ⬇️ I’d still have accepted that to be honest but I’m over the moon 🌙 to be getting the full amount next week 👍. @cookie80

I just need my Alternative Payment Arrangement (two payment dates a month) 🗓️ to be set up for me @cookie80 👍. I’m very sure 👌 that I will get it set up. I’ll be getting a bigger amount of money 💶 but I just need the payment frequency to be good enough for me, and twice monthly payments will meet my requirements.

I just don’t see how a Case Manager cannot agree to setting it up for me. I fall under (Tier 1 factors) as I said in one of my earlier posts @cookie80.
