@katho31 - We just need you to get the award you deserve now. Stay calm; you can do it.1
-
Thank you Chiarieds, is anyone on the LWCRA?0
-
As from what I've read, everybody advises up to 8 weeks after tribunal. Also, remember what @Adrian_Scope has saidThe old income-related ESA was replaced by Universal Credit and if your tribunal for your UC work capability assessment is successful you'll be receiving the equivalent to this on UC. New Style Esa replaces 'contribution-based' (you need to have worked and paid national insurance in the previous two tax years) and is deducted £ for £ from Universal Credit.1

Oh I see, hopefully I will get the paperwork in the post in a few days time0

Thank you Adrian, do you know how long it takes as they said to me it would be about 2-3 weeks to get everything sorted, but earlier on I got an email from the benefit appeal to say that I had my hearing yesterday and they told me the answer that I got it and that a decision has been posted to me which I shall receive by the 19th (next Friday)
Hopefully it will come tomorrow, what will the letter state and do you know how long it will take to receive backdated payment as well as the monthly amount?
Thank you1 -
hi @Lou67 and everyone, well its over and done!! call lasted just over and hour and half, i broke down a couple of times reliving a very traumatic experience due to domestic violence when i was 22, i can honestly say i wouldnt want my worst enemy to have to go through todays experience, im still shaking with nerves and am so tired due to not sleeping last night with worry. my husband joined in the conversation, he was upset for me but a good help. the lady asked me if her manager could listen in and i agreed. all in all, and i dont give up easily, i will never put myself through todays ordeal again. sorry if this is going to seem upsetting but my pride and dignity are what i intend to keep hold of.0

I’m glad it went ok, it’s tough as your worried the results and saying about your conditions and makes you nerves, and then your worried to see if you get it and what section you will be put into, At least it’s done now Cath and you can relax and take it easy and don’t have to worry anymore thinking I have got my phone call1
-
Shall I phone universal credit and ask them to explain to me how the LWCRA works and when do I get paid and when does the backdated payments come?0
-
@katho31 glad it's over with now but I'm sorry it was upsetting for you. We are all here for you and if you ever need to talk, we will listen
@avakarlsson I have advised you that it can take up to 8 weeks to receive payment after a tribunal, which will be the backdated payment. As you've applied for New Style ESA this will affect your UC payments, I'm unsure if it will affect the backdated payment, I will tag @Adrian_Scope for that question. However, your regular payments thereafter will be lower as the New Style ESA will be deducted from your UC amount, if you do receive New Style ESA

Oh, I thought I will get my normal amount of universal credit then the limited cab ability to work payment the LWCRA extra as well?0
-
You will, however as you applied for New Style ESA, if you are accepted for this, this will then be deducted from your UC payments.0
