And as for the pensioners in receipt of the SRP they are prohibited from receiving the Care Allowance! The DWP say that SRP includes a contribution towards the cost of your caring duties.
where and when have the DWP ever said that? however SRP is administered HMRC.
A DM said that when I asked many moons ago as to why being in receipt of the SRP meant that I could not be paid Carers Allowance. It would have been in 2014.

You are not paid Carer's Allowance when claiming SRP because it's an overlapping benefit.  Not because SRP includes an amount to cover caring duties!

There are many people of State Pension age who have never had and never will have caring duties.  The Government is not going to include an amount in the State Retirement Pension for a possible theoretical future caring duty.

Carer's Allowance is paid to people because their caring duties make it difficult to hold a full time job.  Presumably the government then assumes, rightly or wrongly that once retired you shouldn't need to hold down a full time job.

Why are you always so negative? The same rules apply to all carers when claiming other benefits, not just those of state pension age. I claim carers allowance for my daughter but it's deducted in full from my ESA. I'm only better off by £38.85/week, which is the carers premium. The same as those on state pension, if entitled to PC and they claim it, it increases your entitlement by £38.85/week.

This thread is about the Cost of Living Payments of £150.00. It is going well off topic.

I am looking for updates on this as I have not been lucky enough yet to get my payment.

Unsure when I should be worried and start reporting it to the DWP! Given the shambles it is.

I'm only reporting what a DM said to me when I asked the question

If you are looking at the Disability £150 the government has until the 7th October to get all payments out.

If you don’t receive it by the end of next week you can report a missed payment. You are not the only one who hasn’t received it yet.

    DWP have said
As of today (30 September) the Department for Work and Pensions has processed almost six million £150 Disability Cost of Living payments worth around £900 million.
This follows the government’s announcement on 20 September that those who had confirmed payment of their disability benefit for 25 May will receive the £150 automatically, with the vast majority to be paid by early October.
The vast majority of eligible claimants who were due to receive the one-off £150 payment from the DWP by early October have now had their payment processed.
The payment will help disabled people with the rising cost of living, acknowledging the higher costs they often face, such as for care and mobility needs.
There will be some cases – such as those who gained entitlement to this payment at a later date or where payments were rejected due to invalid account details – who will not be paid by the beginning of October. These will be paid automatically as soon as possible.

What really bugs me is this

"There will be some cases – such as those who gained entitlement to this payment at a later date or where payments were rejected due to invalid account details – who will not be paid by the beginning of October. These will be paid automatically as soon as possible."

As long does "soon as possible" mean? If I have not received next week I will certainly be on the phone to them and asking why!

All a big publicity stunt.... as energy bills rise at midnight to make out the government cares and in essence doesn't give a hoot by paying some out and not others.

They knew it was not going to be an easy task but it has left many including myself without when I know I should have had it.

All they have done is paid people who have been on the benefit longer and the rest can wait!

I’ve been getting PIP for a few years now and I still haven’t received the £150. Are there others out there in a similar situation? I’m starting to wonder if I’ve fallen through the net somehow.

@d1gby_d0g You will have to wait until further announcements are made unfortunately, if you have been receiving it for years you are entitled and will get it eventually.

There has been a update today on the DWP cost of living guide. It now states if you haven’t received your payment then there’s a link to report this to the DWP. To see the update just click on “updates” near the top of the page.
