COL £150. Has anyone got it?

I think we all may have our differences of opinions on the subject on how the "cost of living" or "energy rebate" discounts should be administrated. Yes fair enough how the government has decided means it's your choice how you spend or use it. No ones business. I was just shocked if not sickened knowing I will need heat this winter due to my medical condition I heard someone going out on the lash and get forty Benson and hedges with it.
Fair enough they may not need it as much as others but the ones in desperate need with rising heat bills and for medically reasons have to put it on all day just disgusts me.
End of the day how's it's been paid is how it's been paid.2 -

I’m now completely broke and will be in serious difficulties if I don’t get it tomorrow. Why does it have to be so random and haphazard?
If there had been a way of finding out exactly when we will receive it I wouldn’t have been in this mess. The date was always from the 20th September. With 6 million people claiming disability benefits, it would have been impossible to tell people exactly what date they will receive it.I know of some people that received it yesterday later in the morning, rather than early hours.1 -
Hi poppy 1234, I always knew it was from the 20th but it’s now the 28th. I assumed I would have had it by now which is my own fault. I have always been an optimist, for some bizarre reason hope triumphs over experience with me and despite many many experiences to the contrary it still does. I may not have given this impression but I do accept it’s no one’s fault but my own.0

Yes i received mine on 27th which was yesterday and a friend called the dwp and they said that most will receive it by 1st October but a few people i know received it today0

I received mine today 🙂
I'm banking mine for Christmas 🎄
The reason I'm not putting it towards my fuel is I'm also in credit with both gas and lecky as we pay DD.
I personally would not spend any money till its in my bank as my hubby says you can only pee with the (you can guess) you've got 🤔 whereas my little saying is much more polite don't count your chickens before they hatch.
I feel for those who over spent before getting the COL payment but imho is it not better waiting for the money in your account before spending it!

BOOKIE68 said:The problem is that people are desperate, due to the cost of living crisis we are all finding life extremely difficult right now, the payment of £150 is going to be an absolute lifeline for some , it's the most hardest thing to ever read when someone can't even afford food , that they haven't eaten properly for a few days, they are so cold but can't afford to turn on their heating, it's a really bad situation for some , if I were you I would try to show just a little bit of compassion! That's what the problem is!
Neither my wife nor I have received ours. Complaining about it isn't going to make any difference. Like most we are struggling to heat our home and to have three meals a day. I can't remember now how long it's been since I last had any food during the day - lunch just doesn't happen.

I received mine today, 28th. I'm one of those that don't really need it due to a very restricted lifestyle now.

Thanks Bibliokept, I agree that the government could and should have been more transparent and more exact.
This is always the worst week of the month for me because all my direct debits go out on the 25th. I will manage to get through to Friday when my partner gets his pension.I’m usually more careful the week before my bills are paid but I didn’t save anything last week gambling on getting the £150.
I will be all right but I really appreciate your concern for my well-being, thank you.0 -

I decided to give my 150 to my wonderful husband 💕 my full time carer my absolute rock , as always carers are completely overlooked, never get the recognition that they deserve, not only saving billions a year for the government , they dedicate their lives to helping others, I chose to give it to my hubby to show him that I totally appreciate absolutely everything he does for me , that his vows he made on our wedding day have never faulted , I want him to treat himself, something that he never does , whatever people choose to do with their money is their decision alone , my wish is that 1 day carers will get the recognition that they do certainly deserve! 🙏🥰5

What a surprise it is still not showing. The administration on this has been typical dwp appauling. I mean it can't be that hard to see if people have valid claim on 25th May 2022 to be paid.
From what I have read this deadline date of 1st October has now changed to mid October.
Also whatever your status of claim was on 25th may depends on how quickly you get. So a live agreed claim on 25th may and now live gets paid before not live or disagreed or pending decision on that date.
I think all can do is just wait see until mid October if paid or not and if not get on to them.
People saying I got mine only makes others panic with not getting there's.

You are not the only person not to have received their money yet. Most people only started to receive it from 27th September and there are about 6 million people to pay.

I know I'm not the only person that hasn't been paid but now there saying that live claims will get there money first and pending ones on 25th may but now live will have to wait longer couldn't they of communicated that????0
-
It does make sense those that were awarded after 25th May but started their claim before this date would get paid last because they have to check those claims.

My claim has been live since 14th July but pending in may0
