Possibly, as far as I know they could turn them back on at a flick of a switch so they may have even announced after they had resumed. However WCAs were not stopped completely, it was just the automatic WCAs, they could still be triggered manually by staff.

Absolutely agree. Like you, I've been feeling really ground down, but it also makes me angry.

People who have no idea of the situation are making decisions about those who have to live with a situation on a daily basis.

I notice Ed Davey's keeping very quiet, despite the fact he has always mentioned his disabled son and his wife with MS.

I'm caught in two minds reading the responses here, some are ok with things, some are desperate.

I don't know anyone who is going to employ someone who has CPTSD and Rage orientated disorders, that was why I was let go of my last job.

Only in Britain where it's a crime to be screwed in the head, or physically incapacitated, nowhere else. I really don't like this country as you can tell, British don't get enthusiastic about anything other than Football and making vulnerable people's live a living hell.

It won't be reduced at all, it will be reduced for new claimants.

I have an opinion due to capacity, that not everyone will get reassessed before the WCA is scrapped, the WCA might be many years before its scrapped though so it is possible.
I also accept Albus point that these are "plans" not necessarily will become reality, although have the opinion given cross party support and a massive majority, they are plans with a high probability.

thank you - obviously I don’t want it to be reduced for anyone but it had me worried how I’d afford bills if they suddenly reduced it next month or something 🥹

Yes, the payment adjustment is not until April 2026 as is currently planned in the green paper. Also for existing claimants it will be a freeze instead of a headline reduction.

yes lcwra uc is actually higher than what I get now in legacy esa. I was advised years ago not to go over even though it’s quite a bit more . I’m worried as I haven’t received a letter and I don’t know when the final dates up . I don’t want to not get the letter so I go over too late to get the higher amount. If any of that makes sense

Does this mean that I'm only going to have one more reassessment and when this happens it'll be after April 2026?

Likewise, I budget and am doing the same. I heard November mentioned - strangely just before Christmas to keep our spending in check 😡

Has the lawyer forgotten the meaning of the word "discrimination"? Obviously the lawyer is terrible.

When it comes to pip review, you simply have to explain if your disabilities have progressed. Then further explain where you feel you should have scored higher

oh wow . Yes that’s what my last assessor did to me . Concreted on questions that only awarded 2 points for that answer even if I should have got 4. Now there will be ppl at tribunal for that 4 points . The assessors are crafty they know as long as you get your award you don’t care about how you get those points .

The freeze means it isnt going down, it will just stay at its existing level, so even if you were to migrate after April 2026, you wont be worse off.

I am thinking that mobility is completely separate from the conversation about 4 points. I am pretty sure she said that it didn't affect mobility, and that the 4 points were required on one criteria to qualify for daily living section only.

Not that that is necessarily great but honestly when I first heard it I thought it meant 4 points on everything to qualify for anything so in comparison to that it's not as bad as it could be.

Catherine, if you have 4 points on any of the daily living criteria then your claim would still be the same, it depends how all those points you have for daily living add up across different criteria. If you don't, this will probably be reviewed when you next are assessed but not until that point. At present there doesn't seem an intention to review anyone mid-award, so if your next check isn't till 2030 or 2032 then it will happen then. IF these plans are adopted. And if I'm understanding it right.
