I have both broken shoulders and I can't wash my back yet I scored 2 points.
I didn't challenge it because I got high rate with the other descriptors added up.

It won't be reduced at all, it will be reduced for new claimants.

I have an opinion due to capacity, that not everyone will get reassessed before the WCA is scrapped, the WCA might be many years before its scrapped though so it is possible.
I also accept Albus point that these are "plans" not necessarily will become reality, although have the opinion given cross party support and a massive majority, they are plans with a high probability.2 -
Sorry about upsetting people by saying that it isn't as bad as I feared.
I did actually misread the amount that standard UC is going up so I was being overly optimistic. I am just so fed up of tying myself in knots worrying about it that I jumped at the chance not to have to do that anymore.
Sorry I should have stayed quiet. I always seem to upset people. I should have known better than try to analyse it myself.

thank you - obviously I don’t want it to be reduced for anyone but it had me worried how I’d afford bills if they suddenly reduced it next month or something 🥹

Yes, the payment adjustment is not until April 2026 as is currently planned in the green paper. Also for existing claimants it will be a freeze instead of a headline reduction.

For those of us on NS ESA support group, it does seem like the new merged benefit will only be applicable to new claimants and that ours will remain as an existing claim, hopefully. I’m not sure on the whole WCA for us though. I don’t know how long my award is for, I only got it last month and no end date was stated in the award letter.

yes lcwra uc is actually higher than what I get now in legacy esa. I was advised years ago not to go over even though it’s quite a bit more . I’m worried as I haven’t received a letter and I don’t know when the final dates up . I don’t want to not get the letter so I go over too late to get the higher amount. If any of that makes sense

Does this mean that I'm only going to have one more reassessment and when this happens it'll be after April 2026?

Likewise, I budget and am doing the same. I heard November mentioned - strangely just before Christmas to keep our spending in check 😡
