no I’m really confused. And places such as CAB will probably need training to help ppl

I am thinking that mobility is completely separate from the conversation about 4 points. I am pretty sure she said that it didn't affect mobility, and that the 4 points were required on one criteria to qualify for daily living section only.
Not that that is necessarily great but honestly when I first heard it I thought it meant 4 points on everything to qualify for anything so in comparison to that it's not as bad as it could be.
Catherine, if you have 4 points on any of the daily living criteria then your claim would still be the same, it depends how all those points you have for daily living add up across different criteria. If you don't, this will probably be reviewed when you next are assessed but not until that point. At present there doesn't seem an intention to review anyone mid-award, so if your next check isn't till 2030 or 2032 then it will happen then. IF these plans are adopted. And if I'm understanding it right.1 -
That is my interpretation of the plans, it is possible my interpretation is wrong.

Anyone currently in the process of migrating from legacy benefits to UC, do you think payment in anyway will be affected by this announcement?
1 -
What is the end date of the award? The green paper does say existing awards will be honoured. So what you have now should be locked in until your next review is completed.
1 -
do you know when the last legacy benefits are due to go over ? Cos surely it can’t be that those still not migrated get a lower rate
1 -
I’m the same, I’ve just had my review and got 3’s but as I passed I left it too but next time I will get letters from gps & consultants and get help filling the form in, I have a degenerative disease amongst other things so il never get any better, just worse

I haven’t had my letter yet but this what I’m worried about

hello, please can someone help me, I currently get LCWRA? No pip and I’m 23, will be 24 in July. I got lcwra in December last year, will I have my money taken off me or cut? When will this be, I know it’s not a definite but please I need some assurance I can’t figure out what it means for me. I’m going out of my mind x
2 -
I cant offer an opinion on what the result of your review will be, but you will be getting reviewed under the current (old) rules. The green paper is plans, not yet current legislation.
3 -
Same for me. I was put in the NS ESA support group last year because I was blind. There is no end date and I was told I wasn’t expected to find work and my condition would not improve (eyesight).
1 -
make sure you record it . They’re crafty and will try and stop ppl from getting 4 points
0 -
Could they change their mind on the starting of LCWRA reassessments again or is it set in stone?
1 -
I think that makes me actually worse when it comes to renewal mind, as I score 18 points on mobility (10 and 8) so meet the 4+ points there.
‘However’ while I also currently get standard daily living at 10 points, I get no more than 2 points on each category there. So as things stand I’d lose my daily living completely - I’m guessing that means at my tribunal I’ll have to hope I score at least 4 points in any one area?0 -
BBC - re: PIP scoring
"The bottom line here is that a pattern of recent mental health claims has been based on a range of less severe issues.
The changes announced today aim to take Pip payments away from such people from November 2026. The government knows how many, and who they are.
For now, until the Spring Statement next week, we can deduce that there are hundreds of thousands who will lose their entire £70 a week or £3,500 a year payment

If it's true then at least I've got just over a year to save, save, save, and sell a lot of my things so I've got a safety net to keep me going until I can hopefully get things overturned if I get classed as fit for work or put into LCW.
2 -
They could change their mind again, it does state it is subject to capacity as well, so they know there will be problems trying to get everyone reassessed.
2 -
yes I know.
with my previous award they started the review process about 7 months before the award was due to end. But they had massive backlogs then.0 -
My partner suffers from cerabal palsy, is he classed as “severely disabled” under the new rules will he be likely to be exempt from reassessment?
His condition can never improve, and he’s been through the assessments and tribunals and knowing that he wouldn’t have to go through this again would definitely give him more dignity.2 -
How can they ramp up more face to face assessments for future WCA claims? It's all very vague with adaptions will be made etc, what happens if your mental health prevents you from mixing with people, catching public transport, social anxiety etc? Surely they can't force you to have a face to face and you can still request a phone assessment, just like PIP still do. I hope this 4 point thing on PIP gets scrapped, it unfairly targets those with mental health issues, many people on here only get 2 points each for any discriptor, we could lose £700 a month as you would also lose your LCWRA element.
I find it utterly horrendous, cruel, and an outright assault on all sick/disabled people, basically forcing them into work which they previously were deemed too unfit to do. ALL these plans need scrapping along with Starmer and his cronies.
