So... does this mean you have to have scored at least 4 points on EVERY single one of the Daily Living descriptors? Or just one of them? I don't really understand.

thank god no vouchers but how many will actually get pip now baring in mind it mostly depends on who your assessor is .

With the current stated plans, you will need at least one descriptor in daily living that scores 4 points or more to be eligible for a daily living award. It is cruel as they trying to claim someone with 4 points in one category is more vulnerable than someone with 4 points combined from 2 categories.
This will only apply on the first review after the rule changes are in place, existing rewards honoured.
They are considering either a lower daily living or temporary TP for people who lose eligibility from the 4 point rule, but they are not plans, just under consideration at the moment.1 -
Yeah, I didn't think the Team Blue concern for vulnerable people worrying about their future would last very long.

It also refers to temporary conditions so maybe it is not for people considered "severely disabiled". Remember this is only a Green Paper.

Is it true they are getting rid of telephone appointments and you have to have face to face, I would mentally not be able to cope with that at all. That would be beyond anything I could handle. Please tell me that’s not true? I feel sick reading that. I couldn’t cope with it?

just one of them.

I read your post and its like a diary of my life, you nailed it. These things are not easy to overcome as I am sure you know as well. The few occasions I have been in a socialised event, I stick out like a sore thumb, everyone laughing and joking, me just sitting there, then the worst happens you get asked if you are ok and suddenly you are the focus of everyone's attention, far easier to just avoid people.

Right now it looks bad, but there's going to be almighty battles over this before it even gets close to becoming law. Someone from Scope earlier said this entire process could take a year (or more) to run through all the different stages, before its law.
The BBC say they'll be able to make better calculations about the potential impact on numbers of people, once the greatest Chancellor and investment banker of all-time (joking) delivers her budget update next week. This "fiscal statement" will present the numbers they don't have today.

Was that a UC claim review over the phone?

Darwin couldnt have said it better

I have a pip review at the end of 2026 and when I was recently migrating to uc from my income related esa top up, I was told by the dwp over the phone, that I have a WCA for my ESA/UC scheduled for may 2026.
To say I'm terrified is an understatement, but if the dwp and health assessors give me fair assessments then i should stay as I am with lcwra/support group and enhanced pip for both components. I should even be put in the classification of 'severely disabled' .
However, having been on the receiving end of an assessment a few years ago that was a 'tissue of lies', I fear anything could happen and I will be left destitute.
Let's not forget that we are all treated as 'new claimants' at the outcome of assessments and I fear the assessors will be pressured to give LOWER POINTS TO SAVE MONEY AND TRY TO FORCE MORE SICK AND DISABLED PEOPLE INTO WORK.
Anybody else feel the same ?

One of them, the existing requirement for 8 total for standard or 12 total for enhanced also still applies in addition to the 4 point descriptor rule.

Were the 4 points for one daily living activity only?
0 -
I think she is even worse than Osborne at this point.
2 -
A lot of us are feeling like this, but there is still the possibility of a huge backlash against these proposals so we need to ry to hold on
3 -
No it means you have to score 4 points for one daily living activity.
1 -
Not completely, they want to make default face to face again, but will allow telephone as a reasonable adjustment.
2 -
At least they recording the interviews..but I'm worse than I was when I got pip . So would we have to fill in another form. ? .that shadow work and pensions women sitting by Stride was evil . Wanting further cuts

Yes just the one activity
