I note that in order to collect taxes, they do not send tax collectors to each taxpayer.

If you pass the new assessment, if not you will have to probably reapply and be a new claimant just like they want.

it was meant to be just a normal UC reassessment that could have been face to face or phone. But in the end they decided they had enough evidence to just do a paper based assessment.

I’ve never taken any notice of her but thought she looked like a caring individual. How wrong I was !!! Looks are obviously deceiving in her case !

I scored 13 points in total for daily living, on the one category I had 4 points, anyone know what that mean for me, my head is all over the place. Thanks in advance

You can understand it. When it comes to opposing welfare, the competition to standout is incredibly fierce within the Conservative party. Whatley is working jolly hard to keep her position and be the best at this cruel sport.

as long as you still get the 4 points on at least one descriptor when your claim is reviewed, you’ll be fine.

Thanks prinko, if the new benefit/time limited aspect of it is for any new claimants, then will the old cb Esa people just stay on it and not be moved to uc, and not merged with jsa either? With regards to the indefinite dla people, it sounds like they will make it very difficult to get pip when transitioning over or people will lose out one way or another.

Finally, Someone else making this point.

Mark my words, lots of us will be put in this position .

The pressure will be on assessors to find as many as possible 'fit for work'.

Then It's an appeal or tribunal process, and treated as a 'NEW CLAIMANT'.

Believe me they will save a lot by doing this, just think, any claimants that gets £50 a week deducted will be worse off by £200 A MONTH !!!!!

    IT'S DISGRACEFUL.

EVEN STEVIE WONDER AND RAY CHARLES CAN SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE.

I should be put into the 'severe' category and not even reassessed but unfortunately I have been on the receiving end of an assessors lies before.........

To the point where the dr and judge at my tribunal refused to do the tribunal, they awarded me support group , apologised to me and made an official complaint about the assessor, because it was made obvious that due to my disabilities and multiple auto immune diseases that this shouldn't have happened.

It was also a waste of time and public money.

Many of us have been through these experiences...and I'm sorry to sound negative, but we will see much more of this.

The upside to all this is that these plans will backfire, and the cost in tribunals will offset any savings.

So well done kendall, 'thieves and harmer'. (Sarcasm).
