it’s this this called severely disabled again. Is it based on condition or how it affects us ?

So it’s all back to the dreaded 4 points 😩😀

hi from what I have read of the green paper I understand that those on new style esa contribution based now will still get there payments it’s only those new claimants will be affected

I'm not sure. I guess the DWP will decide based on the evidence you give them if they think you'll never be able to work again. Then you'll get an additional premium on top of the health element and you'll never have to worry about another assessment ever again.

Thank you...my brain won't function. I read it that way, I've been asking all night for clarification

I have a Drs letter stating my prognosis isn’t good . Yet they always give me a hard time . I’m not sure if it’s my conditions or just bad luck . But I’m feeling more positive for now though I’m not sure I should be .

Yes...from what I've read this seems to be true.
Hope this helps sunshine. Xx

Or when they delicately kick people off the support group to kick them off the benefit full stop hence why she wants reassessment pushed to get people off this soon to be legacy payment. So any savings and worked your life your screwed to use them until you go to the threshold of UC. Pay into system all your life screwed over for having money but are disabled. Sickening.

But what we do know is that this will be a waste of time, money and manpower.
But hey, as long as they are badgering vulnerable and sick people about work they can not do …then that's how it will be .

Hope you manage to stay somewhat calm....
We Just all need to stick together. I can't stress that enough.
Hope everyone manages to get a little sleep tonight at least.

yes it’s funny as soon as she mentioned recording I thought yep you know they’re crocked . I’m sure that 4? Points will be challenged though and basically having no sickness benefit. Some illnesses mean you can work but can’t get pip . There must be an equivalent. I’m sure Ellen Clifford or someone is looking into .

I find it funny that they didn't want people to face multiple assessments for different benefits, so they want to combine it all into one assessment for PIP and UC.
But then they mention if you're on the health element they will expect you to participate in "periodic conversations about work and support" which to me sounds a lot like an assessment, and they'll probably be more regular than the previous assessments.

yes flood the system with PIP claims don't see it as stressful see it as a protest !!

On now BBC Parliament House of Lords - Welfare Reform Statement23:40 to 00:300 -
Does anyone know if the descriptors for the daily living component are staying the same if/when the new plans for PIP eligibility comes into place? I was given 10 points for planning a journey but only a total of 6 points for three other descriptors. I cant remember where, but I think I read somewhere they were taking the planning a journey out as a descriptor which would mean I would no longer qualify for LCWRA.

looks like it’s physical disabilities that will be tested and awarded points and if you have mental health issues that can’t be shown to stop you doing things you will be disadvantaged

This may have already been discussed but I haven't had a chance to read all the posts here yet.
They say they are going to give those on UC extra money if they are looking for work. What will this mean for Carers? We are technically working, and it's usually 24/7 so will our money raise too, or will we be in the 'unable to work' bracket?0 -
Exactly Durus.....it's all so stupid.
I can see this backfiring big time and costing them more instead of saving them money.
Don't get me started on how discriminatory all of it is....
I'm expecting and hoping for legal challenges and big pushback from disability charities and organisations.

they really are worse than the Tory’s . There must be protection for ppl if you lose your pip review, you can’t be left destitute
