If you get income Related ESA and Tax Credits, you should expect to be invited to UC in
2024 or 2025
. If you get Income Related ESA only or Income Related ESA with Housing Benefit, You should expect to be invited to claim UC in 2028 or 2029.
if ESA IR transitioned to UC is gonna be an obstacle for this new merged benefit. We could be looking at somewhere around 20300 -
Can someone please tell me what a light touch review is and how do you know if that's what you have or will be getting ? My pip review is April 2026

imo, difficult to say cause the way they worded the document is confusing, can have many interpretations
So I’m not sure.
but this change is unfair and will have a terrible effect on future disabled people that’s why it mustn’t go ahead.0 -

They said they'll legislate it this session, and this parliament session ends July 2025. Consultations, which are just formalities to pretend that the public were consulted, will end 30th of June 2025.

you are right:
- The managed migration of around 800,000 claimants of income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) only, or incomed-related ESA and Housing Benefit, has been brought forward, having previously been delayed to 2028/29. The DWP began sending migration notices to these claimants in September 2024 and aims to notify all claimants in this cohort by December 2025.
- The DWP plans to move all legacy benefit claimants to UC by March 2026, completing the UC rollout and closing all legacy benefits by this date.

I absolutely agree with you. I was more than surprised that she had homed in on my £50 cash withdrawal. Not sure if it was just a bit of "we have to be seen to exert our control" thing of just ticking boxes. Aside from that she was actually quite ok. What really worries me is if we get assessors who are control freaks…

I read this morning I think on the DNS new site that DWP have a report explaining why the sudden increase in pip but they’re refusing to release it until after the spring budget. So lying to the public that it’s ppl faking MH ADHD Autism , while they have a report explaining the increase already .
