So a estimated 600,000 of us on LCWRA but not PIP will be dropped like a sack of hot potatoes and recieve no health element money and suddenly be expected to look for work despite being put into the previously unfit for work "support group".

Under the new proposals, the eligiability criteria will be tightened by November 2026 to apply for PIP, so it might be worth trying to apply before 2026.
Sorry if most of you know this but I just want to clarify about PIP (as I didn't know this for years): You CAN have PIP alongside other benefits including UC/ESA, it's not means tested (so doesn't matter how much money or savings you have/don't have) and you can get it in or out of work. It can also increase the amount of UC/ESA you currently get.
With this in mind I've compiled a (hopefully) useful, short guide about PIP and applying for it covering the whole process. I know it's an often terriying process for people. I've only been through it once so far in late 2023/2024.
Would it be OK to post the guide in the forum? Would anyone find it helpful to have that? I don't want to bombared people with info and clog up the forum.

Yes and also at the same time they are making it harder to qualify for the PIP award…barbaric

They are going after mental health because they realise this country has made too many people unable to function. They are basically going to say mental health was a trend and now everyone is better.

Yes but i am on it for long standing ME Syndrome, i would imagine the bulk of the 600,000 on LCWRA are on it for reasons that are not related to mental health but still everyone is going to be caught up in this and suffer.

Not if nobody does anything. Action needs to be taken instead of a few statements here and there that achieves nothing otherwise this will happen. If it does this country will be a third world country and very quickly will decline economically. It is a very stupid thing.

I'm not answering it the way they want me to or answering the questions they have asked . I'm just writing what I want to say in the boxes and making it perfectly clear that the 4 point pip rule will be disastrous and lives will be lost if the decision goes ahead .
And when they ask what support they can offer someone after they have cruelty ripped away all their money and carers away etc I am putting that there is no support they can offer as people need financial support

Yes and I'm sure we will ! if there were deposits going in our accounts of several thousands then yes I can understand they would ask questions but what we spend our money on is our business

I don’t know! It would be nice if the paper you read was right. Or if there was actually information available from DWP to tell us. I won’t find out until 2034!

This is completely normal. My last review began 11 months before my end date. The form took 10 days to arrive but I took that time to plan my answers

? You said new criteria will be don'e by Nov 26, or it is not before nov 26 , reason I am asking is my pip award ends Nov 26, so hoping I get reassessed under old criteria
