The Green Paper Discussion (the document link is here too!)

This is exactly the angle they need to see on the consultation.
I also mentioned that, because the Tories spent 15 years cutting services, thus making more of a burden on other aspects of the state. There are people who would not need benefits if their conditions had been supported sooner, but that didn't happen, and now they need support.
Also, the unpopularity of this government is actually something more worrying than positive. It's worrying because it means people have already forgotten what the Tories have spent years doing, or might even fall into Reform's trap and not realise they want rid of all equality legislation. As I said before, this is a mess, but unless we can get a Lib/Green govt in power, it is still the best option for disabled people. Grim as it is, we are better off with this mess which might yet be changed than with Whately "do more damage!" and Farage "no more welfare benefits!".
Please everyone do remember that. Whatever Labour are doing, there are worse options we could sleepwalk into at the next election if we're not on the ball.5 -
I think he was being satirical. He wasn't being serious.

The media reporting, government and some political parties sitting in Westminster have been toxic towards disabled people.

Agreed. Anyone that votes Reform are voting for more of the same politics that got us here, whether they realise that or not. Just like Labour 2024 voters.
For disabled people who can't work, moving abroad won't be possible in the majority of cases. Unless things get so dire other countries start accepting British refugees, most disabled people who cant work are stuck here.
I anticipate a lot of younger disabled people who can work will look into leaving the UK as time goes on though. We have no future here. Same with older retirees.

Pretty much this. These benefit cut proposals - alongside cutting winter fuel allowances - is the beginning of the slow dcecline of the last Labour government in history.

He is trying to do some weird reverse psychology claiming its immoral to keep vulnerable people out of poverty and that high earning tax payers are somehow more in need.
Economists are now jumping in saying Reeve should be changing the fiscal rules to avoid the cuts, they have said "the uk cant cut its way to growth".1 -
That's right keep emailing do consultation loads of pertitions go online sign it's ok to cry we are scared but it's proposals of the elite in court it wouldn't stand we have so many people fighting with real passion as ellen clifford they learnt so much over the years ie laws people are driven with a great passion of the injustice this is the biggest attack on disabled community I can't attend protests but I keep emailing signing pertitions I've emailed my mp 10ish times I think and I will keep messaging I asked him does he support these cuts no response so I will email again they must here us!!!

The problem is the 4 point rule is the whole point of it, its providing the majority of the cuts. If they get rid of it, they may as well drop the entire green paper. The bargaining chip which was probably deliberate was the PIP freeze and LCWRA cut backs.
We also shouldnt sit back and assume it will be watered down, we need to resist this until the end really. Remember this has cross party support, there is no opposition of note to it in the commons. I think Labour are all in on this, and would even carry on with 20-30 mps going independent.
If it does get dropped I wouldnt be surprised if Reeve resigned over it. She is absolutely obsessed with austerity.3 -
