Watching it now and I'm loving it. Love The Last Leg but was tired yesterday. At least I can have a laugh watching it

If I wasn’t in Scotland, I would have gone to the protest in London on budget day. I did heavily consider it but I know I’m not in the right state… my paranoia is out of control right now and I can’t handle crowds. I nearly started crying in Tescos earlier because it was so busy and overstimulating πŸ˜…

I was just repeating my own experience and didn't mean to upset anyone, quite the opposite πŸ™‚

I totally agree with you that they have no right to dictate what we spend our money on.

I'm currently writing to my MP. I've signed the Scope petition and the invite to MPs to attend the meeting, but I'm also writing independently as his constituent. I'm writing on behalf of myself and others. Doubt it will do any good and his lackey will probably read it and file it away, but everything's worth a try.

I'm going to put it aside for now as I'm feeling anxiety and that's not good for either Crohn's or my spinal fractures so I'll carry on with it tomorrow and will then do the Consultation responses.

Absolutely agree with you. Like you, I always worked and due to aggressive form of bone disease became disabled four year back now. Most mobility is gone and need help for personal care etc. (I also have Crohn's - which, with bad mobility doesn't work at all well!!! sorry, that's TMI).

I don't get 4 on any descriptor but 2s and 3s over a range of activities. If I lose PIP and subsequently LCWRA I won't have enough to live on and the outcome of it is that I will die. No question about it. I'm in my 60s anyway but still way off State Pension so I guess I'm disposable. It's not the way I thought I'd go though.

Quick question as I haven't been able to find an answer, What if you have 10 points on mobility, No points living....And get lcwra? If having no points on the living section, Would this mean lcwra would also stop?

Sitting here thinking how after 4 emails to MP I have had no response (yes sadly my local MP is labour ) and have seen others have had no response so had a light bulb moment .... Maybe if we change the subject heading on our emails to "donation inside " or similar they will be more inclined to open them πŸ˜‚

I may not have had any replies from my MP, but all emails are read by their team, so I at least know that I've used my voice. 😊

do you with all honesty believe that mps actually read these emails you all send they may get a brief from a poor lacky that does and may send out a random reply but thats about it

    Can primary legislation be challenged

I am the same and it is scaring the hell out of me. I can only work part time limited hours and I have a mortgage of 30 years. O.K. it is about 350 which is not a lot these days but I don't get any help with that so it is paid out of my PIP. I get 13 points in total and 12 of them are 2 points in 6 factors. I would not get 4 points in any. So, no more PIP means no more ESA disability and severe disability. Β£90 a week plus Β£90 part time wage will be my total income. how can I manage my disability need, get fed and cover it. My outgoings are over twice that. I will lose my home, all livelihood and everything I have to live for. Reforms yes. Even if that means more points to get the higher rate. But leaving us all without ANYTHING?

Hi Catherine, gosh this whole shambles of a bleep thing is such a disgrace isn't it ! I feel particularly sad for the young and not so young folk who are suffering from very serious mental health, invisible and undiagnosed conditions, this must be really creating more extreme anxiety and it all boils down to money as always 😑

I got a 10 year award in 2017, I firmly believe it depends on the assessor you get, I was lucky in that mine was an experienced Nursing Sister who was kind, considerate and most importantly was very knowledgeable, aware and knew the impact of my severe and progressive conditions on my life without a million questions or trick questions being asked. Not all my assessments have been this way though but I always backed up everything with both, objective ( test results etc ) and subjective ( lived experience ) evidence and have been given the same award each time but with shorter periods in between assessments, plenty of outright untruths documented by them in past ones. My main conditions are not invisible ones, they are ''in your face'' lol she couldn't deny them even if she wanted to. I do believe if the assessors cant physically see something or there are no objective tests for them then they can and do believe everything is just subjective, there lays the problem, in my opinion.

I just wanted to try and explain why I feel I was awarded a10 year award and an up and coming light touch review. I do hope these ridiculous and costly ''improvements'' never see the light of day. Take care Catherine and hang on in there, we have many good folk fighting in our corner 😊
