One thing that the damn government is not thinking about is that many people would lose their jobs as carer, particularly single mothers, who are working part time as carers. Once sick and disabled people lose their award, their carers too would lose their jobs; hence more unemployed people.

So sorry your diagnosis littlemystery, but as you've a critical illness, they "might" leave you alone. Don't want to raise your hopes too much in case I'm wrong but they did say they'd leave the most seriously ill alone…

The ripple effects are really worrying… the list just goes on and on, @Passerby

Missing out on Carers allowance also means they’ll miss out on crucial NI contributions, which are important for qualifying years towards the new State Pension.

Why are disabled people, their carers, and families always so disadvantaged? 😳

I have just taken the new pip test to see what happened. If the new rules are made law I will lose my pip! Don't the government care about us!

so in regards to the new 4pt rule …..

someone who is awarded 4pts in one category may score a total of let's say 13pts overall ….

but someone who scores several 1 and 2's could score 14pts but fail in the award of the personal care component …..

this will leave the process wide open in regards to the "equality act"

    @Albus_Scope,

Will Scope notify us when the government releases the accessible format of the Green Paper consultation and announce the consultation events as promised on the official GOV page? I know I, and many others, would be completely lost without Scope’s support in navigating this mess.

Thank you so much for all the hard work. You’re truly appreciated! Have a nice day.

According to Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Shadow , the government has long ago purchased approximately 700-1000 Storm Shadow missiles for a billion pounds!
The trick is that the Russians easily shoot them down and even change the controls! It is hard to imagine a more inept waste! UK simply re-glued the sticker on a French missile. Shame.
It seems the government has found an enemy that is easy to defeat - the disabled.

Hopefully someone will let us know. 🤞

It does seem a bit silly not to make a consultation about disabilities, disability friendly.

Anyone saw kendell on sky news, she was being grilled about the cuts ,she was very angry, the interviewer remarked on it, she came out about how disabled people weren't able to get into jobs before. Bet the real reason was that he was questioning her about it. I seen clips but not the whole interview

    I didn't see it.

I do find she comes across as quiet aggressive when trying to get her point across.

    Thats my opinion of her.

Not a chance! You can bet she filled in form without having to provide evidence and it was an automatic approval because she paid someone off!

I came across your post and wanted to share that I also live with chronic blood cancer. During my last PIP review in 2023, I had a paper-based assessment and was fortunate to be awarded the enhanced rate for both daily living and mobility for ten years. In their decision part of the award, they explained that the longer award reflected that my condition would not improve, and that my condition severely impacted my daily living, which is why they extended the award for that duration. Try not to worry little mystery I cannot see why yours would be any different.
