According to the UK government website unemployed people do not pay national insurance contributions unless they chose to voluntarily so not everyone pays into the system "whatever way people look at it."

So my next infusions the really nasty chemotherapy are due in May

they last 8 -10 hours each, because I "fell" between my wheelchair and the treatment chair

last time even though 4 nurses were present they are moving me to the Geriatric day unit

so a hoist can be used, reason? when a patient falls there's around 17 forms the nurses need to fill in mostly to cover liability, they are very polite but made it clear they can do without the hassle, So it begs the question if that happens within the NHS what company would like someone who falls daily? the fall team normally arrive within an hour but when busy been on the floor over 4 hours. In that time soiled myself both ways to the point mum had to put the pads all around the floor. The media wont talk about pee.poo, blood vomit. but for most of us its part of "living", Today 13,90 went on energy all the sheets needed to be washed the duvet

and the pillows the nappy failed again and heavy soiling, its rained all day so tumble had to be used, The energy bills alone are now always over 400 PPM, In the land of Labour I truly believe they think we are all rolling in money. But then when they can put the energy on expenses is there any wonder this detachment has kicked in.

whether it offended them or not I sent the MP a picture of the bed and how badly soiled it gets and told them 30 minute washes no matter what the adverts say DO NOT remove poo.

They all said it. Its a phrase they are using while they claim freebies and pay rise.

What are these 17 forms? I hate to think they're doing that.

Everyone has a right to see their medical record. You can make a SAR (Subject Access Request) or get your authorised representative to do so on your behalf.

They also profit from being in government from businesses yet blame us for it.

Was utterly stunned while she was okay with me she was clearly fuming the forms would need to be filled in, I asked her the same question,

Mostly are linked what fall, did I hit anything did I need x ray, normal incident report

the other nurses needed to fill in statement about the nature of the fall. copy to the consultant, for a moment I thought she was joking it was only when they said next time

it would be the other unit, its horrible and depressing this place is modern and light the other place really has the feel of a disabled toilet,

Reeves and Kendall could announce Remploy will be brought back, Callers on LBC said the same thing, a guy who is registered blind is being refused jobs because of health and safety

when they closed Remploy the workers were devastated those that could work found a place that was catered to what they could do, My sister finally had a new job she found out today

she is 100% fit but all the interviews once they knew she was 43 jibes about wanting someone younger started, this new job is linked with managing a network of stores from Wales to West Of England and only down to the fact she's worked in this area before swung it for her,

No need to train she knows the operation etc

National insurance contributions are paid for people who receive carers allowance they are also paid for people who claim universal credit.

When you receive Carer's Allowance, you automatically receive Class 1 National Insurance credits for each week you are entitled to it which helps protect your National Insurance record and contributes towards your State Pension

Receiving Universal Credit automatically grants you Class 3 National Insurance credits, which can contribute to your State Pension,

No one said about the freebies. I said that.

I was talking about "if you can work, you should work" and also "good work is good for you" the government keep saying it.

I really dont want to give up my vote, given my family history/ strong Labour roots going back to at least 1913 plus given the long arduous fight women endured to get the vote in the first place. I am stuck though, I cannot bring myself to ever vote labour again ( sorry Great Grandad ) but the other two major parties are equally unpalatable. I had my first flyer through the letterbox yesterday, it was from Reform, it addressed me personally and included an outburst at and named my home town. Not one sentence was dedicated to welfare/health etc, nothing, they are going full out on immigration to pull in the votes, they may well likely get them, just not one from me. My hometown is a long time Labour stronghold, I cannot see that changing but we are deemed as one of the poorer more deprived areas so who knows, folk might have had enough and vote Reform figuring its the only way of sorting this mess of a country out.

What do you folk think we should do with our vote ? Apart from binning it 😁

Also if you’re not on Employment and Support Allowance but you satisfy the conditions for it

You can get class 1 NI Credits - if you apply for new style ESA.

That's what I have been receiving for almost 5 years !

Sorry I thought you were saying if you are unemployed you don't get national insurance paid on your behalf. I had to look into it recently for somebody who was concerned about their stamp being paid. I aplogise if I misunderstood your comment. It was late and my brain was obviously not engaged properly.

CB ESA is not means tested.

Income based ESA is the only means tested ESA. If CB was also means tested there wouldn’t be any need to make a distinction between the two.

That's good to hear. I feel daft as I didn't realise until a few months back that you don't get any NI paid if your only benefit is PIP. I had to tell my daughter to make sure she also claimed ESA to protect herself for her future pension. I am concerned that there will be numerous people in the future who will not have enough stamps and therefore not receive any state pension.
