I get enhanced rates for both components. My award letter uses the word "ongoing", which they consider synonymous with 10 years.

Oh wow good for you ❤️. What a relief that must of been. Can I ask had you filled out a review form before you received that ? I ask as my awards up next Feb and I haven’t received a form yet . Was this recent or years ago . Right now I don’t know what they’re doing. I do think I should have I even gotten longer with ME and fibromyalgia plus other conditions as they can’t be cured . I even should have gotten a 4point but got a 2 instead . Thank you so much for sharing that , it gives me hope 🙏

I fear "The Guardian" is scaremongering, which is understandable today. The PIP descripters and a claimant's ability to perform an activity safely, reliably, in a timely fashion, and so forth has not changed and there is no mention of change in the text of the Bill.

Is it normal to have enhanced for both but just a short award ? I got my enhanced mobility back at MR. I should of asked for longer then but badly advised

Mine says "ongoing" and on the next page after 2029

They basically say "we need to protect the welfare system for those who need it… by taking welfare… from those who need it"

Why don't they just say what they mean when they say what " the most severe conditions" are?
They are like a bunch of headless chickens or circus clowns without a single brain cell between them.

Yes secretsquirrel1 it's very normal . I have enhanced for both but have only ever had 3 year awards, from beginning and at review. It baffles me because I have multiple progressive auto immune diseases. So I do feel a bit peeved that I haven't had an ongoing award.

A friend was awarded enhanced for both DL and mobility for 3 years. It was obvious her condition would not improve though it's not progressive. Covid arrived and her reassessment was delayed. A year or so later she was reassessed on paper ("light touch") and given an ongoing/10 year award.
It's probably normal. Suppose someone has a major heart attack, stroke, or injury. They're helpless but could recover 100%.

Oh I’d love some good luck like that . My first assessment took two years fighting to upper tier . Second one was during Covid , was told they’re only doing paper based so I’ll be fine . Then they extended my award until it wasn’t paper based but phone . A quick review ended up a two hour interrogation. My advisor gave me wrong advice and I had to have a MR done by myself. I said to the assessor why do they keep doing this when there’s no cure ? She said I’ll write that down and then gave me two years. Even dwp added a year

I never trusted him and told the canvassers who knocked on my door. They’d be foolish to come around next election

It does seem silly as there are conditions that can’t be cured or treated . This is where the money is wasted

My condition is progressive. I miss DLA.
