Apologies for getting the date wrong. That's more time for me to worry on your behalf then! Kidding there!
Whenever I thought about signing in to chat about your assessment, I started thinking about my own assessment because it had been so hard to get diagnosed. I also found myself wishing Albus was here to guide you through it and knew that wishful thinking wouldn't bring him back.

You are good enough @Strawberry1, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'm so glad your assessment is soon. It'll be good to find out what the result is so you can understand yourself a bit better.

Strawberry, I didn't know you'd been in care. I'm so sorry that happened to you. You are actually amazing to have endured all you have, as am I

He validated everything I'd been through as a late-diagnosed autie.
I notice Nightcity says he got his diagnosis immediately. Well, during my second autism assessment I did sense that he believed me and that I would pass. However, I didn't hear anything and waited 3 months to chase it up because I was so afraid of another refusal. Don't do what I did and wait that long!

Amberpearl, I found myself quite upset about your predicament at Christmas, losing your father on Christmas Eve put my own loss into perspective (father's funeral in December) and losing your mother in January. Being cold on top of all that would make anyone unhappy.
I'd worried about my daughter starting therapy then read Jane's story about her young son going into care. It's hard not to be affected by people's stories here even if I'm not signed in to comment. It's hard not to care and I do ๐

How does your daughter feel about starting therapy @WhatThe? I can imagine it's worrying as a parent as it's a big thing to undertake, but hopefully it will help her.
