Hi everyone Hope everyone is doing well,

I got told last Thursday I was going to be on the LWCRA group and yesterday I had to leave a message on my journal and they replied back saying I am on the LWC so I phoned up today and explained and the person who I spoke to is going to ask my case manager to see if I can be on the LWCRA and they will let me know by the 5th July, hope its tomorrow or next week they let me know on my journal.

    Hi everyone

Hope everyone is doing ok and keeping cool during this hot weather this week, when I had my appeal they said to me LWCRA and then the day after I phoned DWP and they mentioned I was on the LWC so Monday just gone I phoned DWP to see if I can go onto the LWCRA and they have put a note on my journal and a message for my case manager and they will reply by when my next payment is due which is on the 5th, hopefully they will reply to me this week or by next week.

Hi @snoopy - just before it says it should be reviewed in 2 years, you will see sections for each descriptor, & a black dot against what your assessor felt most appropriate. Look at the following link & you'll be able to see how many points for daily activities &/ mobility you will likely be awarded as the DWP Decision Maker usually goes with this: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Migrated_Documents/adviceguide/pip-9-table-of-activities-descriptors-and-points.pdf  You need 8 or more points to be awarded the standard rate, & 12 or more for enhanced for each section (daily living &/mobility).

Hi everyone how is everyone doing?

What is the New Style JSA about would I be able to claim it? What other benefits can I apply for, I am on pip daily living, universal credit they are sorting out my limited capability for work as they said LWCRA and then when I got the letter it said LCW so They said last Thursday if you don’t get a reply by Monday phone up so I did Monday afternoon explained it all and wrote it on my journal too

New Style JSA would require you to seek work. There are no other benefits that you can apply for.

I thought that was the case @Ami2301 but wasn’t 100% sure so didn’t like to say. Glad you could clear it up for Ava.

No problem, it took me a few times to understand it but benefits are confusing anyway!

    Hi everyone

I applied for the new style ESA about a couple of weeks ago and on Saturday I got a letter to say that I can’t not claim it as I haven’t paid enough national insurance, can I re apply again? What other Non means tested benefits can you get?

    Thank you

    Hi
I had a telephone PIP assessment on 3rd June with Asos and subsequently got a text from DWP on 6th July saying that they had received report and I would have a decision within 6 weeks. I just called DWP to request my report and was told no decision had been made as yet! So, unless they look at it in the next week to 10 days it is going to be much longer a wait than 6 weeks! Anyone else waiting this long?

Hi @Caddersj - I should have said on your introductory thread that the assessor's report is form PA4. You can request this before any decision is made, & you already know the DWP have it. It's frustrating, but try ringing again, as some who answer seem to be more helpful than others. Good luck! :)

Hi @Caddersj, i would ring PIP and ask, you'll have to wait on phone but its worth asking to put mind at rest, know how you are feeling, lots of us felt and are feeling same. best wishes and stay safe :)

I did call DWP and hence why no decision so looks as if it may be a long wait for nothing !!

Hi I also applied in Feb it went to a assessor quite quickly they wrote to my doctor and said they wanted me to do a telephone appointment so I’m still waiting on that I’m really nervous bout it and it’s hard waiting it’s the only help I can get that doesn’t go off my partners wage . I hope I have my telephone appointment soon . Because my disability is mental illness would I get any thing for mobility ? Because at times I litterally don’t leave the house does that count ?

That’s great news that you got your pip award . Do they pay you the back dated pay ASAP or do you have to wait for it ?
