Thank you @Sandy_123 and @Lou67 ๐ Yes we were hoping for a girl as we already have a boy. I've already bought her a jumper with her name on. I couldn't resist!
Ooh that sounds nice Lou, enjoy!

Sandy-123,
In my day we didn't know what sex our babies would be. We first had a beautiful son, followed by a daughter. I remember buying the first dresses for my daughter, I was crying with joy.
We had the perfect pair. In those days baby clothes were quite boring, and you had to buy a lot of white for new born babies.
How wonderful that times have changed. I even had to use terry cotton nappies, my twin tub washing machine seemed as if it was always on.
Having to take care of new born babies is such a change in anybody's life, I'm so glad you are getting prepared. Are you excited?

Its for my granddaughter @Nikkita yes we were never told the baby's sex. A nice surprise at the end. But it's good to know to get prepared. Now I need a basket and does anyone know where to buy the clear wrap? going to put a big pink ribbon on it too

That's sounding great @Sandy_123! I'm going to have to hint to my friends that a hamper would be a good idea ๐
@Nikkita my son is almost 14 and my baby is due on Christmas Eve so I'm a bit nervous about doing the whole newborn thing again! That's sweet that you cried when you bought your daughter's first dresses โค๏ธ I can understand the emotion, girl's clothes are just adorable.

Aww that's lovely @Nicebrit. I never wanted a girl so I don't know what's happened to me, I was desperate for one!
Thank you so much @Marydoll5 ๐ I'll be so sad when it's time to go on maternity leave. I'll miss everyone here. I guess I'll be preoccupied though ๐

It's hot here. No matter what the weather is like, I'm under my duvet where I feel safe.
People ask me "what do you mean by 'safe'?
I can never answer them because they would never understand.

Cloudy with sunny spells back home @Jimm_Scope,same tomorrow and rain on Tuesday.

@Amberpearl good morning. We had a spectacular thunder and lightning storm last night. It'd really windy but cooler today. Try and nap today

Morning everyone โค๏ธ
Sorry you didn't sleep well @Amberpearl, it's not easy in this weather! Fingers crossed it cools off soon and you can get some rest.
I love a dramatic thunderstorm @Marydoll5! I don't think we're due any down south at the moment. Always feels like a nice reset.

Morning everyone, I hope you're keeping cool today! It will be a hot one all the way over.
@nikita I understand that, I don't do it so much anymore, but when I was younger I would sleep entirely under the covers because it felt safer.
@Marydoll5 Quite jealous! I love thunderstorms. I did manage to see a brief shooting star last night though. A very short lived meteor hitting our atmosphere

We had a thunder storm this morning, now it's gone really warm. Just back from breakfast out with my son.
