The Fifth Tweet trilogy by Roy M Burgess has been an enjoyable read, great humour, good plots ... was worth the Kindle Unlimited price this month0

Hey everyone! Glad to join a lively group, I do love a good book myself complete with a hot cuppa. Good job I can't read the tea leaves while i'm reading and enjoying my brews eh LOL. I'll leave that for when I regain my eyesight! LOL. My fave books are: The Twilight Saga, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and my guilty pleasures are billionaire series on free fiction book websites [removed by moderator - advertising]. LOL. Oh and I love horror as well, Second Child by John Saul and Come The Blind Fury by the same author. I love The Mermaid's Mirror by L.K Madigan as well.1

Hello @Misswillow1
You always have to have a nice arm drink with a book! It's getting to that cosy time of the year 🥰
Just to let you know, I had to remove the website because of advertisements. Have you heard of Stuff Your Kindle Day? It happens 4 times a year and you can get loads of free books! I currently have about 60+ on my iPad 😂

My book arrived today A tap at the window by Linwood Barclay I've nearly got all his books now he's such a good writer. Another book for the bookcase 😄0
-
Have you seen all the books due for November @C_J? There is like 15+ being released on the 7th November alone! 🥰
I started The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore. Read 4 chapters Friday Night then finish it on Sunday 😂 Was a really good read! I am now about 100 pages in to Holly by Stephen King.
What is everyone reading this week?0 -
I've just invested in an Echo Dot as they were so cheap on Prime day. I've just discovered they have an accessibility mode, so they'll read your Kindle books to you, just in whichever Alexa voice you choose. So I think my audiobook library has just tripled, all read to me by a lovely Australian guy.1

I've got 2 on the go. A Peter James one on my Kindle. (Popping my P James 🍒!) And Mark "Billy" Billingham, The Hard way for my physical book. I've also created my own account on SM that is all about books, reading, writing and my disabilities.0
-
@Albus_Scope You'll have to keep an eye on Stuff Your Kindle Day!
@Dot2710ken An account on SM? as in Social Media? Was wondering if it was a platform I haven't heard of yet! I can't do two books at once well. I always end up rereading one of them! 😂

@Hannah_Scope I have noticed talk about book overload I've also had an email from Waterstones advertising a limited edition of Fourth Wing but they also added a picture of the book and it looks nice (Do they know me or what?)
Maybe I should hide my wallet for a bit lol 😬😬1 -
Haha I am doing the same @C_J or no one will be getting Christmas presents this year! 😂
I have 3 pre-orders left to come and I told myself I will only buy books now if I go to 66Books in Hemel Hempstead.1 -
@Hannah_Scope my charity book haul.
Ah yes. Wasn't sure if I could mention the platform or not. 🤣
I tend to read my kindle for bed and physical book for through the day.
I want to go to Waterstones, with a book and have a brew and cake. And drool all over the pretty books.🤤🤤🤤🤤

Not the cat cushion. That was an Xmas pressie from the hubby.a few years ago0

Ooo nice haul @Dot2710ken I keep saying I'll start the Kathy Reichs books as I loved the TV series Bones. You can get a big box set of them. It may make it's way to my Christmas list 🤣
I don't sit in the Café in Waterstones anymore as it just leads me to buying more books. In with a list, out with more books not on the list! 😂 I think you'd do damage at 66books too! You can mention the platform, we just advise people don't advertise their account for safety
The cat cushion is so cute!!! Did you name them?1 -
I've read a few of Kathy's books. They are good.
Hahaha! That's me in the charity shop! Go in for a jumper, come out with books ++++ and no jumper.🤣
I didn't. I should have done. We have 17 real fur monsters.0 -
Hahaha, I always go somewhere and find the books. Went into Homesense for some candles, came out with books 😂
17?! 🥰 Bet it's never a dull moment for you!0 -
I broke, I bought two more books 😂1
-
@Hannah_Scope lol you are as bad as me when it comes to books lol so what books did you get? (No I'm not book obsessed. Erm why am I sitting on the edge of my seat 😂)

I bought A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid and Godkiller by Hannah Kanar. Both are fantasy and supposed to be brilliant. Seen some great reviews and though oooo 😂1
-
Ooooh, the Fallen Gods trilogy is supposed to be very good!0
