I am sure my pip is due to expire at the end of this month (Jan 2024)

I can't find my paperwork but i'm sure my pip runs out at the end of this month, i haven't had any letter or anything regarding a renewal, is this normal?

I only just realised now but after looking online it seems people have renewal documents around a year or 6 months before their pip is due to expire, can anyone offer any assistance on this and what I should do? Will I no longer receive payments?

I was awarded 3 years originally and that was given to me in Jan 2022- but I originally claimed around June 2021 and had to go to MR/Tribunal to be awarded that in the following January of 2022. Thanks

Reviews usually take place about 8 months before your award is due to end, assuming you were awarded by DWP. They would send you review forms about that time, which you would need to fill in and return. I can only assume that you're mistaken about the end date of your award.

I'd advise you to ring them tomorrow when they open at 9am to ask them when your PIP is due to end.

Most people have assessments, even for reviews. Those are mostly by telephone, some are still face to face and video.

There's very large backlogs also so you could be waiting a considerable length of time for a decision. Some members are still waiting a year after returning the forms. Your current award will continue until a decision is made on your review.

When filling out the forms make sure you treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible. Even if there's been no changes, do not just put no change and nothing else.

If you need extra time to return them you can ring to ask for another couple of weeks.
