Ok so a lot has happened since I last posted on the forum but I have been down with depression because of it.
I'm autistic, not high functioning. Have depression, bad anxiety, agoraphobia and OCD.
I cant have an advocate to make medical appointments for me and come with me to them because I have been discharged from cmht.
Cmht basically just wanted me to get in adult social care rather then offer psychology for my mh conditions. I was assessed, never consulted regarding their plans for my life, then discharged for not engaging when I said no.
There was a lot of trouble over lies they said about me.
Transforming care failed to keep a prebooked phone appt, dont respond to emails, so I have nobody now. I rang the Samaritans but the lady I spoke to couldn't help. Will prob ring again.
Gp is no help, I have been with them eighteen years so can certainly say they are a bad practice.
Where do I go from here?

Hi @Bettahm, welcome back to the community
Sorry to hear things haven't got much better for you, it sounds really tough. Do you think a change of GP practice would be something that would help your situation? I'd understand if it's not something that's possible for you.

I cant change to another because of agoraphobia
Cmht have made things worse by telling gp I need social care
Which I dont
Social care will not fix agoraphobia0 -
@Bettahm, it sounds like a really difficult situation, sorry it's been so hard for you to get the right help.
Did they provide you with any reasoning for trying to get you into social care instead of the things you're hoping for?0 -

I was not consulted or kept informed of what they were planning at all.0 -
Hey @Bettahm, it could be worth at least speaking to them about social care, as it'd open up more lines for help such as mental health support and counselling?0

I'd have to pay.
Cant go through any more assessments0 -
@Bettahm It's not good that they didn't communicate with you at all about your own care, that's really frustrating. And I understand why you might not want to go forward with social care after all you've been through.
The only thing I can think of that might be worth trying is writing a letter to another GP surgery to explain your circumstances and ask whether they might be able to take you on as a patient. Just so you can get a fresh start with a new doctor who might have a different way of working. Even if you're out of the catchment, it's possible they might understand how difficult things have been and take you on.
I'm not sure I have any more ideas of things to try but I'll keep thinking, hopefully some of our other members will be along soon to offer some support and advice too.0 -

Also I thought about contacting my autism diagnostic people for help and advise .
Cmht did all this without consulting me in the first place and then without telling me THEIR plans for MY LIFE!
I am furious. All I can think is I told them too much, like I have no family or friends. So they took over and did whatever they wanted.
Then there was all that trouble last year with the letter that never got here and the email that did the same.. and someone saying they'd talked to me on the phone when he hadn't.
So no way do I trust anything they say or do.
Will write to a surgery out of this area though, thanks for that.0
