Communicating Verbally

I know some people might find this a stupid question, but has the communication got to be indoors i.e. home or outdoors i.e. main road, shops, leisure activity.

Heya @Andywheels56 is this regarding an application for PIP?0

Hi Albus, yes it is. I have received a text from pip that I am due for a review of my award. I am just going to concentrate on the points I got when I went to tribunal last time. I was wondering if you could use instances within the home when family call to highlight the fact that I do not hear or understand properly because of my very loud tinnitus causing problems with my hearing.0

Hey @Andywheels56 thanks for clarifying.
Ok it's always best to do a review as if it were a brand new claim, so showing what issues you have with each descriptor, with real life events and consequences if possible. And if you can't do something repeatedly, in a reasonable time or safely, for over 50% of the time, then you're seen as being unable to do that thing. So if you have issues at home with hearing phones etc, then yes I'd be putting that down too.0 -
So if a review is to be treated as a new claim would I be okay introducing the consequences of a new disability into the review. Just over 16 months ago I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease pbc which affects the bile ducts in my liver. Some of the symptoms of this disease are that I get extremely tired, usually mid afternoon such that I have been known to go back to bed for hours. Bone pain in my whole body and its very difficult and painful gripping things i.e. lifting a kettle, holding a knife and fork. I have to pace my activities so I don't burn out, even going for a short walk can exhaust me.0

I'd say it'd be a very good time to put all the new information in. Sorry you're having to though.0
