You are not annoying at all and I really don’t mind you asking questions. I would much prefer you do that than get something wrong. I may not always answer straight away but I will eventually, once I see your question.

Yes, please tick that he has a health condition/disability. Once you provide the fit note he will be referred for the WCA usually around day 29. He won’t be referred without the fit note.

Although he wants to work having a disability means he has a disadvantage and could find working difficult. Going through the WCA doesn’t mean he will not be able to work because he can.

For evidence for the UC50 form is it ok to send a letter from me as his mum and carer of what he finds difficult , his diagnosis letter, and his ehcp document ?

You're welcome. If he doesn't return to college there will be no further payments. Therefore it will depend on what he's going to do.

Yes, you can send those as evidence. Make sure you look at the descriptors before filling in the form so you can see which one you think applies to him.

Feeling so stressed if it’s not one things it’s another in our family and lately just more and more things happening and it’s alot when you already have additional things to do compared to a ‘normal’ parent. (What ever normal is)

I try to keep calm on the outside but my mind is not kept calm unless I ask questions and get answers that I understand.
I just don’t like to do things wrong and I want to do everything well to support my family.
    Thank you for helping me.

I'm sorry it's making you feel this way but I completely understand how difficult it is if you also have a health condition yourself.

I'm my daughter's appointee for her PIP and UC so yes, it's difficult on top of my own health conditions.

Once the claim for UC has been submitted for him as his appointee he will have no work commitments and the process will be quite easy. Just please make sure that you continue to provide the fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made on the WCA.

When you speak to his GP just tell them that your son is claiming UC and needs a fit note. This is exactly what I said to my daughter's GP and he provided one for 6 months.

also (sorry) can I send his full ehcp report? Or just some of it? Or will it not help?

Aww thank you, you're welcome. If any evidence you have is relevant then yes send it. For the EHCP if you send it then you will need to send all of it and not just some of it. If you leave pages out they may wonder why you did that.

Please also remember that less is very often more. Sending multiple pieces of evidence all saying the same thing isn't helpful.

Ok thank you Poppy. I Will send the while ehcp because that explains his learning difficulties best. None of the evidence says the same thing as they are for his different needs and difficulties.

I’m ok thank you. I’m enjoying this lovely sun and sat in my garden.

You will know whether the element is included when you receive your next statement. Has he decided if he’s returning to college yet?

If your other son is claiming Income Related ESA then yes he will at some point be migrated across to UC. He will be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of his claim.

    That's entirely your decision.
