Ok so if I contact GP on 4th and ask for a longer one? Or before then?

I’m ok thank you , glad you are ok too.

That's entirely up to you when you contact them. You just need to make sure you leave it plenty of time for them to issue the fit note.

Ok thanks Poppy appreciate you 🙂

My son has his identity interview today at 3:30pm, his Dad is going with him, my son asked do I have to talk or is Dad talking.
I’m nervous for him because I know he’s worried.1 -
I hope everything goes well @dannistar If the dad is the appointee then they should try to stick to communicating with him.

Hi Jimm,
I’m not bad thanks, hope you are well.
Ok thank you.0 -
Appointment went ok & next step will be the work capability form to be sent to son.

I'm good thank you @dannistar, trying to stay on top of everything! But the weather is quite alright today, not too hot. Best of luck with the DWP

Thank you. It’s an ok day here too.

Once he's referred for the WCA you'll receive a letter onto his journal to tell you he's been referred. A few days later you'll receive the form in the post. As you're his appointee then I would expect the form to arrive in your name, not his.

Ok thank you. When will he be referred do you know?

No problem. Usually from day 29 after the first fit note but sometimes it can be later.

Ok thank you.

Hi
Hope you are ok.
My son recieved a message on uc journal about accepting fit note and that they have sent a UC50 in the post for him.
Do we need to tell them that we will have to fill the form out on his behalf ? But obviously all about him.
Thank you0 -
There's no need to tell them separately. At the end of the form there is a section specifically for this purpose. Just need to provide your name and address and a short reason for why the claimant is unable to fill it in themselves.

Thank you

As he has an appointee the form should arrive in the appointees name, the same as the PIP form. When filling out the form, just fill it in as if you are him. The appointee will need to make sure the sign the form, not your son. If the form arrives in your son's name then you need to contact them and ask why because it shouldn't be.

Ok thank you Poppy.
