LCWRA awarded after tribunal
Hi everyone. Firstly I must apologise if the answer to my question is on this forum but I have spent days reading posts and cannot find one that fits my situation. I was awarded LCW on 4/8/2023. I didn't agree and at a tribunal on 16/5/2024 was awarded LCWRA.
My latest statement was issued by UC on the 16th June(to cover the period from 14th May to 13th June) and no LCWRA had been added but I waited until today, 20th June, when my money was paid just in case they snuck something in at the last moment☺️. I read somewhere that LCWRA should be included in your first payment after the decision is made and as UC had nearly a month to include it I do not understand why this did not happen.
I rang the court on Monday 17/6 just to check if the decision had been sent to UC as I found it very odd after four weeks that no one not even my case worker was aware that my LCW had been changed to LCWRA. The person I spoke to said they would send an email to UC on my behalf. That evening about 6pm I got an email from UC telling me to go to my journal and accept my new commitments. I thought it was amazing timing!
I just wonder now if I should just sit back and see what happens or keep chasing as my Monday phone call seems to have moved things forward slightly.
Sorry I just realised my quick question has ended up like a small novel!

Hi Just thought I would give an update. Only a few hours after writing the above UC have been in touch(after I put another entry in my journal) and it seems everything is sorted!
I think they got fed up with me bothering them.

I'm glad it's all sorted for you @Dobby2020. Have they let you know about any backdated payment owed?

Thank you Adrian. They have told me back dated payments will be paid by 8pm on Monday. Which seems a rather random time and the LCWRA will start being paid from July onwards.
I will feel better once the payment arrives!

For UC they always tell you by 8pm on the day of payment, even for your usual monthly payments it says that on your statement. Usually payment usually shows in the early hours of the morning.
