PIP Tribunal
Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me here please.
I am in the process of PIP Tribunal, today I received a pack of documents from DWP as a response to my appeal, in the Conclusion it says " I oppose this appeal and ask the Tribunal to dismiss the appleal and confirm the Secretary of state's decision". Is this normal ?? And if it is then what's next ?

That's perfectly normal for DWP to oppose the appeal, if they thought you were entitled then you would be at this stage. HMCTS will not dismiss it and the hearing will continue as normal.
Once you receive the bundle (if you haven't already) then you'll need to go through it to make sure everything is correct. If you have anything extra to send you can send that to HMCTS.
Then you need to wait for a hearing date, assuming you've either requested to appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing. Either of those will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour.
The only downside is the waiting could be extremely long as some are waiting about a year for their hearing date.

Hi @stan14 😊
As Poppy said, that's a completely normal thing for them to say. I've been through a tribunal myself and after worrying about it I found it to be quite good! At the tribunal they are there to listen to you and really understand how you are affected day-to-day. It might feel a bit like an interrogation but I assure you it's just because they want to fully understand and come to the right decision.
