hello I’ve just been diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and a chronic fractured disc would I be entitled to attendance allowance and a blue badge as walking is so painful

    AA is for those of state pension age and above and it doesn't include the mobility part. If you are under state pension age then it would be PIP, unless you live in Scotland and then it's ADP.

    Neither of them are awarded based on a diagnosis, it depends on exactly how your conditions affect you.

    For a Blue Badge you will need to look at the criteria from your local Authority because they all have their own rules if you don't automatically qualify. You would need to send evidence to support your claim.

    Welcome to the community @kingy55 😊 As Poppy has mentioned, if you are over state pension age then you should be entitled to Attendance Allowance. Otherwise you should be entitled to PIP (or ADP in Scotland). Let us know if you're over or under the state pension age and if you have any questions about applying for them 🙂
