I have a debilitating spinal disease that iv been diagnosed with from 2018 had 6/7 operations in that time period and I’m still struggling and I’m in constant pain and can’t function properly at all I receive pip full mobility but only standard living component which I have appealed against and have contested many times in my last 3year review on the phone I was extremely upset and frustrated and made it clear that my mental health was really bad and that I was struggling with everything part of my life and I got a extension and asked about my condition as it says that people with severe neurological disorders that are terminal and won’t improve should receive full living component and that I don’t get severe disability component which I was told that because I was contribution based when I got ill I was in full time employment and I have made multiple attempts to get it since but have been turned down every time.I lost everything due to getting I’ll job partner home my mental health is very bad and I have many other issues…I don’t get any help from anyone and I’m living in a very bad condition as I can’t manage to do my normal chores like before I have been paying people to help me and I put in a claim for careers but I think I have been scammed as since I put in for the claim I had it to be paid into my account so that I would get my money back from what I’ve paid out for..a few weeks after the career just stopped coming and disappeared so I don’t know if she has changed the account it was to be paid too or if she’s had the money I don’t know it’s been over 2 months since I put in the claim is there any way I can find out?? But yet again I feel like someone has just ripped me off as it happens alot not like this but in many other ways all my flat needs decorating and needs carpets I also have had damp issues for the last three years my washing machine broke months ago and I have no clothes to wear and I have piles of laundry everywhere and it’s getting me down and I need help with everything please I need advice

That's difficult to read but I'll try my best. PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis, unless you have terminal cancer with a life expectancy of 12 months.

What you've read about someone with your conditions that should receive Enhanced daily living isn't quite correct. Everyone is affected differently by these conditions and it all depends on exactly how your conditions affect you. It may not be possible to score enough of points needed for Enhanced daily living.

You mentioned Severe disability component, do you mean the Severe disability Premium? If so then this isn't a benefit on its own. It's a disability Premium payable with some of the old legacy benefits such as Income Related ESA/JSA, Income Support and Pension Credit.

Which other benefits are you claiming exactly? If it's either New style ESA or Universal Credit then this disability premium isn't payable on either of those.

You said you've put a claim in for a career? Do you mean you had a carer? or you put a claim is for carers allowance?

You can't claim carers allowance for looking after yourself. Someone else can claim this for looking after you, depending on their circumstances.

Where did you put in a claim for carers, was that with the council or something else?
