Hi

This is my 3rd post in 3 days as something is always coming up with the migration, the issue now is housing costs my rent is £322.20 a week and I have joint tenancy with my wife we are with a housing association, but when we go to confirm the details it says it is different from what your housing association has told us which says there is only one of us on the tenancy, I have corrected it as joint and it has bounced back both times to my to do list as it says it’s incorrect, I have called my housing association and they have confirmed by phone we are both on the tenancy which has not changed since we moved in 2021, I have paper work with our joint tenancy on it and my online rent account has joint tenancy on it , what else can I do about this if it keeps bouncing back? I left a note in the journal also but no reply thus far

    Hello @johnnyy85

Whether or not both of you are listed on the tenancy should not affect your housing element. The only time it would make a difference is if there is a joint tenant on the tenancy who is not your partner on your UC claim.

I'm only speculating, but I wonder if, when the housing team confirms the details, they are only asked to verify that there is no one on the tenancy other than the joint UC claimants. That could explain why they are reporting that there is no one else on the tenancy—meaning, no one except you and your partner.
