Dear Benefit's training company. I am currently in receipt of ESA. I am also technically still employed, but I am not working and not being paid any money as my sickness cover with my company has ran out.

If my employers terminate my contract with them, will I be sanctioned by the DWP and loose benefits?

    Hi RSISolutions,

No, you won't be sanctioned under any of the circumstances described above.
You are receiving ESA because you are unfit for work. Whether your contract is terminated by you or your employer doesn't change the fact that you are unfit for work.
Sanctions for "giving up work" without good reason only apply if you are intending to claim JSA.
