Tribunal

I have now submitted my application to the for my PIP Appeal. I have said I will appear in person but I am worried about that part as it depends where it is. I went on to the Tribunal website and apparently the nearest court is the city 10 miles from my home in the area I used to work (and not far from the Capita Office where I had my F2F Assessment) so if it is in that area I am ok but anywhere else I do not think I would be able to go because of anxiety problems. I am really stressed about the whole thing as I am struggling financially because of a large chunk of my income being taken away. My Mother is giving me a small allowance to cover my DD/SO for essentials for a few months to help me. Hopefully the situation will be resolved by then.
I am also expecting to hear about my Capita complaint any time now.

Hi @Annabelle26 ,
I’m sorry to hear about the problems you’ve been having with PIP – it sounds like you’re having a really tough time.
We have a lot of useful information about appealing a DWP benefits decision on our website, including some resources on tribunals. You may find the following videos of interest:

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions!1 -
Thank you for the video links. I watched them before I submitted the papers. The only worry I have is actually physically being there. I try to stop it using various techniques but when it comes to it it overwhelms me.0

Do you have anyone that can go to the Tribunal with you? This often helps with anxiety issues etc. Having someone to talk to will take your mind off the surrondings.
Attending the hearing will give you the best chance of a decision is your favour because 65% of those that attend, have a decision in their favour. It's much less for those who have a paper based decision. It's your chance to tell the Tribunal exactly how your condition affect you daily. They are there to listen and it's nothing like an assessment.
Hopefully it will be somewhere close to home, that you'll know the area. Good luck.
