Percent of successful pip appeals

I have read here and on info from Scope that approx 69-70% of pip appeals are successful.
I read yesterday that that figure relates to benefit claims generalky and that only 10% of pip decisions are apoealed and 5% of them succeed.
Which figure is correct?
Is it a long held distortion that 70% of pip apoeals are successful?

The 70% figure refers to benefit appeals generally?
Which is correct
The 70% figure, is the success rate for those claimants who appeal their PIP claim.
There are too many, who give up on their claim and do not proceed to appeal.
Have a look at Benefits and Work web site to get more info, on their news service.
For anyone overwhelmed by the huge amounts of info in there, the flow chart on page 11 is the useful one. It does show that overall for PIP, out of all the failed original assessments, only 48% go on to MR. 6% have a decision changed at MR. 20% go on to tribunal. And 10% have the decision changed at tribunal.
That's much less optimistic than the 75% I've seen all over the internet lol!! BUT it is worth noting that if you've reached the tribunal stage after originally failing, you do still have a 64% chance of getting the decision changed, so slightly better than 50/50!
