Hey @CheesedOff, no i don't have a copy of it, not seen it i don't think, i agree eventually we will only have streaming services, i still prefer physical media, takes up space but i know its there when i want it1
-
So my Daughter came to visit and brought a new cabinet for my wife, i swiftly nabbed it for my blurays, thanks babe lol

So i went to our local charity shop hunting for dvds, they do 10 for a pound, which is great, i got all of these for 2 pound, can't grumble at those prices, love vicar of dibbley glad to have that in the collection, five rocky movies and father of the bride 1 and 2, as well as Austin powers, a good haul

so i don't have much Asian cinema in the collection, but i like a good horror and this looks like it will be interesting, Battle Royale, over the top violence and fake blood, i spend half my time on these movies figuring out how they did the special effects, there's lots of tech that goes into gory stuff,
next up an eighties classic, the howling, great special effects in this one, this is the bluray steelbook

I did a trade with another collector and got this on the way to me, we usually love the rock and his movies, anyone seen it?
1 -
I was not impressed with Jungle Cruise, we usually love anything the Rock does, but we ended up turning it off, shame, anyone seen it?
1 -
I haven't seen Jungle Cruise @Grinchy, but it sounds like I'll be giving it a miss anyway! I've heard Battle Royale is good.
I love a bit of The Vicar of Dibley too I used to watch reruns of it quite often.1 -
Cheers @Tori_Scope, yeah we love the vicar, great series, Battle Royale was daft, but in a good way, i did a trade with another bluray collector to get a few more titles in, first up another one for my collection of steel books (fancy metal packaging) the hobbit, and another foreign language version,
Then a star wars force awakens steel book, still sealed, i'll be opening it
then a copy of hero's season four, i have the first three seasons on dvd and my collector friend said i should try this, so i will give it a try
1 -
Heroes is a blast from the past @Grinchy! I'm sure I watched at least some of it when it came out.2
-
Thanks @Tori_Scope, yeah it was a good show, need to watch it again from the start, should keep me busy,2
-
tonight i went with my Daughter to see the new ghostbusters movie, it was great i enjoyed spending time with my Daughter, and the movie was really enjoyable, i say this as a fan of the first two movies, if your a fan or even casual viewer you should enjoy it, i'm not ashamed to say i cried my leg of at one point, lol1
-
It sounds like you and your daughter had a good time @Grinchy
I love rewatching old shows! And it's always good to have some TV and films lined up for a rainy day.2 -
yes we did @Tori_Scope, thank you, we love watching old shows, i recently bought keeping up appearances, with hyacinth bucket, or as she spells it bouquet, lol funny stuff
I did a trade with a fellow collector for these next two, blasts from the past Transformers the animated movie, this is a steel book blu ray set
and a dvd set to, again another steel book, this one was a bit battered, but i don't mind
and finally one of the movie steel books

So i did another trade with another collector and got these on the way to me more steelbooks
first up guardians of the galaxy vol2 love these movies, funny and doesn't take itself to seriously
then predator the first and best movie with Arnie, still holds up today, i love the design of the creature in this movie and have made various costumes over the years
