thanks @Teddybear12, glad you like seeing my collection0

I'm really sorry to hear about your nan too @Grinchy even if grandparents reach a very old age, that doesn't make it any easier coming to terms with what's happening, as they've been there all our lives.
I hope you've got family support around you at the moment, and you know the community is here whenever you need it. In time you'll have many fond memories to look back on and to share.
Take care today, and please do ask if you need anything0 -
Thank you @Alex_Scope, i appreciate that, it is a hard time but i have many happy memories0

So my nan is still here, totally unresponsive now to any stimuli, just a slow lingering death, i wish there was something i could do, i know she would hate to see herself like that, she is comfortable and well looked after, there should be a way to help people in there final days, some medicine to help them on there way, at least i know it won't be much longer, sorry for moaning
I had done a swap for one of my rubber monster display heads, and got the ghostbusters ultimate set and the species movie set to, lovely sets great artwork, the ghostbusters set has loads of great behind the scenes info which i love, as has the species set, that one has four movies i've only seen the first two, the 3rd and 4th movie were straight to dvd movies which doesn't bode well, lol

Hey @Teddybear12 thank you appreciate it, yeah i love ghostbusters, not so much the 2016 version, nothing against the ladies involved, it just wasn't for me1
-
Hi @Grinchy I'm sorry to hear about your nan, and don't worry you're not moaning. We know this is a difficult time, and that talking about it is really helpful, so please don't feel like you can't share updates here
And no, going straight to DVD never tends to bode well, but I'm glad you love the artwork, it's certainly striking!0 -
Hey @Alex_Scope thank you, my nan passed today, in a weird way i'm glad, no more pain, she would have hated just lingering, she was a very proud lady, now i'm just numb, thanks for being there0
-
I am sorry to hear @Grinchy as you say, she's not in pain anymore, but it's still a shock.
If you need any extra support at any time, then please do have a look at Cruse, and hopefully they can help.
We're all here to support you too, make sure to take care of yourself and family0 -
Thanks @Teddybear12, i appreciate that, and thanks @Alex_Scope, i'll be ok given time, many thanks for both of your comments2

So i bought another bluray steelbook, this one i have happy memories of queuing up to see, back when cinemas only had 3 screens during the summer months, in the latter half of the eighties i would do my paper round then once i was paid on a saturday i would make my way to the cinema in liverpool town centre, to see the latest movies, this one my nan paid the ticket so its more special

I went to a car boot sale today and got a few discs, really pleased they were only a few pounds each

It's been a while since I went to a car boot sale @Grinchy, but I always used to enjoy them Deadpool's a great film.0
-
cheers @Tori_Scope i only went down one aisle of cars, but this seller had a few discs on offer, not as mobile as i used to be, thanks0
-
So i bought another steelbook from ebay, this time a series called the pacific, produced by Steven Speilberg, i have the band of brothers set already and enjoyed that, hoping this is worth a watch

Did you find the car boot sale accessible @Grinchy? I imagine that people with certain mobility issues or other accessibility needs aren't always considered when they're being planned, unfortunately.
I haven't seen The Pacific, but I hope it's good!0 -
thanks @Tori_Scope, the car boot sale was ok, i just need a walking aide i think, it was spaced well but was very busy, can't be doing with crowds0
-
Have you looked into getting one @Grinchy? I'm glad to hear the car boot sale was spaced well.0
-
Hey @Tori_Scope, not looked at it yet, its my weight thats keeping me down, but with the anxiety and other mental health issues that plague me,its easier to ignore it, i know i should do something about it but its easier to just try and plod on as i am, anyway thanks for caring.
I was trawling through ebay again, had a bit of spare cash, so i found the wizard of oz special edition 80th anniversary edition, got it for a good price, i always loved the movie growing up, it was usually shown around christmas time, you get extra bumph with it a mini poster, the film on 4k (still haven't upgraded yet) 3 blurays including the film on bluray and special features, artcards, a map of the city of oz, and the packaging folds out into a 3d display, it did retail at 60 pounds but i got it for under 18 delivered, which is a bargain
