Wok capability assessment

Hello.
I had my work capability assessment yesterday. It only lasted half an hour and it wasn't very detailed in mental health or all of the physical. I have long covid conditions like breathlessness fatique dizziness as well as mental health. I also have scans to come up on heart and liver. I think I should be in the non activity group.
Is it likely I will be put in this group? Is it worrying that it only lasted half hour? And how long has it taken for the decision to actually come though, does it really take week?
Thank you
Victoria

You can't draw any conclusion from the length of the assessment. The report will have been sent to DWP and a Decision Maker will then make a decision. Until the decision is made all you can do is wait.0
-
The length of time the assessment took doesn’t mean anything other than no further questions were needed.
I can’t tell you if the decision will be LCWRA, only a decision maker can decide that.Decisions can take anything up to 12 weeks once the assessment report is returned to DWP. Once the decision is made the letter will be uploaded onto your journal.0 -
Ok thank you. Just have to wait and see.0

Yes I'm struggling to wait already. Oh I'll have a look thank you need to keep busy0

I am in the exact same boat as you, @vickyuk. My assessment lasted 33 minutes and only covered a few of my conditions. When I asked for the assessors thoughts, not that it matters much but for my peace of mind, he said that my descriptors are severe enough that there was not much else to discuss.Made me feel a little less stressed about the waiting process.0

SamD1985 said:he said that my descriptors are severe enough that there was not much else to discuss.Do you mean your symptoms are severe enough? The descriptors are what you need to meet to qualify for either LCW or LCWRA.Sometimes during a work capability assessment they may only need to concentrate on one condition, rather than all your conditions. Remember, the WCA is not about a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to do any type of work.0
