Yeah, I have no idea sorry, but that they contacted your GP suggests someone is now looking at it. So hopefully not too much longer for you.

Congrats on the award @worried33! It sounds like this was a nice surprise and I hope it helps you!
As worried mentions @Magicalmoon, it sounds like they are moving forward with the review now if they are contacting your GP. Please do let us know how you get on with it 🙂

Looks like it has been backdated about 4 and half months. Still no decision letter, I got a 4 figure sum, and then a day later (my normal expected payment date) a payment of £549, usually my 28 days payment is £290.

That's great news! A decision maker uses their own discretion to award from an earlier date when it's a review. Sometimes they will and other times they won't. For my review It was backdated from end of November 2023 and I had my decision in mid October 2024.

Thank you poppy, the backdate was actually to my review date, and the end date is Jan 2029. I decided to leave it alone given they did backdate and I might be in a nightmare on UC right now with them throwing a fit over my savings, one battle at a time is enough for me.

If the award is reduced after a review, do they class it as an overpayment and try to recover it? My review is in progress and I'm really worried.

No. You will just get the lower payments in future.
