Hi , I applied for PIP just called them and they said a decision letter has been sent out in post , sounds like bad news to me as lots of people have said they got a payment before letter . What do you all think

If it's a first time claim and you're not transferring from DLA if successfully awarded then payment is usually received in your bank before the decision letter.
If the decision has only just been made they won't be able to see that decision until about 24 hours later. It doesn't mean bad news because you don't know when the decision was made and it also takes 3-5 working days for any money to go into your bank once payment is sent.
Once you have the decision if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.

Hi @Kagsyf and a warm welcome to our online community, how's it going?

I hope Poppy's reply has alleviated some of your worry about bad news. Although, if the decision letter does come confirming you haven't been awarded what you expected, then we'd be happy to support you with the mandatory reconsideration process. Try not to worry, but I understand it's hard.

For your information, I've slightly amended your thread title and moved it to our PIP, DLA and AA category to help others better spot it and reply.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on.

Bad new , I didn’t qualify. I’m fuming they have missed loads out of the report so I’ve rang and submitted a mandatory reconsideration so fingers crossed

I'd advise you to put that request in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you.
Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
You can't rely on someone from a call centre typing into the computer what you said to them over the phone.
