    Hello,

New here and looking for some guidance.

I understand the proposed changes in April 2026 means that, from April 2026, those currently on LCWRA will receive a "Health Element" that's equal to what they currently receive as a topup (currently around £408 a month)

However, what will happens to those who are on LCW (not LCWRA) as of April 2026 under the proposed changes? Those on LCW currently receive something like an additional £150 per month on top of the standard allowance. What happens to this additional amount for LCW come April 2026?

I am asking because the green paper is very clear that those on LCWRA will transition into receiving the same topup payments under the new Health Element. However, it seems to be silent on whether this happens for LCW as well. What do prior LCW recipients they get in April 2026?

Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes I am in the same boat . I get daily living by multiple 2 points but no 4 point scores . Although I believe I should of got 4 points in a certain activity . I didn't dispute for fear I'd lose the lot .

I can't make head nor tail of it, ESA CB changing (for new claimants) ????? PIP points changing so no matter how many points you get you can't have it unless you get 4 points on one question of daily living. I give up I only get CB ESA and PIP and would not qualify for UC. Face to face I just cannot do and I will not be going to any jobcentre half **** and smelling of urine because of my incontinece and will no longer have a carer to help wash or dress my lower body if PIP stops even if I could do face to face for any amount of money. I really do despair

Hi, I've tried to read through some of these posts and the green paper but it's just overwhelming and making my anxiety even worse. From what I can understand, as I am on contribution based Esa from 2018 (not sure if it's legacy Esa or ns Esa as i don't really understand it) then this means I will be time limited and then lose my money as I have some savings. I'm also on indefinate Dla and haven't been moved over to pip yet, so what does that mean for me? It seems to me that I will lose out no matter what I do now. Can someone please help to clarify what will happen. Thanks.

as a few of us have suggested from reading it, it seems like the new benefit/time limited aspect of it is for any new claimants.

    Its so vague.

I read the green paper but its lengthy and I find it hard to retain the information

We need some clarity on these matters.

I note that in order to collect taxes, they do not send tax collectors to each taxpayer.

If you pass the new assessment, if not you will have to probably reapply and be a new claimant just like they want.

she was horrific. I didn’t suspect the cons wanted even worse . Bad yes but not worse .

it was meant to be just a normal UC reassessment that could have been face to face or phone. But in the end they decided they had enough evidence to just do a paper based assessment.
