Where have they said that the descriptors are changing?

I imagine some questions will have to incorporate the wca element otherwise surely discrimination

When are they starting these reassessments for LCWRA? It all seems a bit vague at moment with some saying it's for people who's circumstances may have changed since their last one, like pregnancy and those recovering from cancer, is this true as green paper is mind boggling!!

My hubby as irESA support group and enhanced on both will help be ok if s gets the enhanced. We have to move by 7th June to UC

that's what it said on the green paper and then to move onto other people who are likely to have a change in award.

Morning Luke. I did reply to you yesterday but there are so many messages you wouldn't have seen it. I was saying that I was worried about this, but someone called Pirate008 spent ages calling the PIP people and they told him that we will keep our ongoing awards until the soft touch review date so we won't be reassessed before that time. If you want to view his actual message it is on this discussion, page 39, 3.43pm.

Hi all,
I currently receive the LCWRA payment as I meet one of the criteria for acceptance, I can't swallow food or drink and have a feeding tube which is permanent.
This was caused by Lymphoma in my neck/mouth, I've been in remission for about a year, but I'm still pretty smashed from the cancer, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and stem cell therapy.
Will I lose this payment if the proposed changes come in and everything is assessed via PIP?
I don't think I'd score 4 points on one descriptor, probably 1's and 2's throughout.
All very stressful and any info would be appreciated.
Warren

I have my over-the-phone UC Claim review at 2pm today. Will update later!
Received a note in my journal 3 weeks ago for bank statements etc

Hopefully with the backlog being so huge you won't have one for very long time yet and you remain in the LCWRA
Makes not much sense why they would start these considering the UC transfer is going to be 60k esa claimants per month.

Just to let you know I had mine in December. I was so worried snd as everyone knows the constant having to justify just wears you down.
It wasn't as bad as I thought though. There wasn't anything on my statements to challenge (what comes in goes out on living expenses, as with all of us!)
She questioned a one -off £50 cash withdrawal! 🙄 I like to keep a little bit of cash for an emergency - some cabs don't have card readers and last year I once had to get cab to hospital urgently so thought best to keep some cash.
But she did tell me they're going to happen every six months though going forward 😕
So Good luck - hope it's not too gruelling.

I am really worried. I read paper and for over 3 years I’ve been in esa contributory band support group. The papers is silent on what will happen to me. I paid tax etc for many years and at a very high rate was discriminated etc against and destroyed by an employer hence had to claim this as medically advised. I’m in severely disabled high risk and to date not received medical treatment needed for complex trauma as mental health secondary team do not have resources. What will happen to people like me. Impact is huge as it effects other benefits, reliefs and rebates inc accrued ni which I’m 3 years away from. Any realistic insight would be much appreciated. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Always right to a minister as a minister.

Is this going to be legally challenged. Our human rights are being violated by this despicable government. Also what points that you.struggle to.wash your hair.

Thanks for the heads-up!
Are they checking to see if people have more coming in per se? My only income is from PIP & UC.
Isn't that odd to be asked why you withdrew £50 lol; where can any wrong be seen in that😁
So basically its not an enquiry on what we spend the money on?

I had planned to withdraw any future funds (small amounts) so that I have cash where there are no card readers.

Yes, various groups are already putting together cases,
Labour MP's are now upto 89 deeply unhappy
Kendall/Timms met with Labour MP's the meeting imploded on the news
Reeves is going to announce more cuts. Turkeys voting for Christmas springs to mind.
A lot of the MP's are the ones recently elected who barely won.
For me it boils down to this they are acting so sensitive and carefully worded around assisted dying Bill, Great concerns about disabled people but this is perfectly fine.
Starmer is not labour and I sincerely hope the story is correct thousands have already cancelled Labour memberships now we need the Unions to stop the funding. I sure his rich mates can top up the coffers,
