hi
New in here, gone through the green paper and obviously it’s atrocious.
One thing I’d say that hasn’t got much or no attention is paragraph 53 and 54 regarding the new Insurance Employment.
It is very badly written, and I believe it’s on purpose.
Anyone with ESA contribution based, if that proposal goes ahead, will lose their entitlement eventually. As well as any NI contributions for their future pension.
this is clearly discrimination done in a very devious subtle way.
So if you are on ESA contributions based I would reply to their green paper pointing that out.

This is what they have plans on
A new contribution-based Unemployment Insurance Benefit
The Green Paper asks views on replacing New Style ESA and New Style JSA with one new Unemployment Insurance benefit. The rate of financial support would be set at the current higher rate of NS ESA. The benefit would not require a health assessment and would be based on an individual’s National Insurance record as is currently the case. Those with long term health conditions, would also be able to claim other relevant benefits where eligible.
Hope this helps 👍️

and it will be time limit, hence you’ll lose your entitlement and NI contributions if you don’t qualify for UC

Hello would love some help to understand about the new UC lcwra and pip changes coming soon I get all 3 and see they taking away lcw and lcwra in the year 2028 how can this affect me as I was given in January 2025 a infinity awarded for my lcwra and under it say about 10 years so what means it gets looked at again in the year 2035 if I'm correct but if it's being scrap in 2028 what well happened to the last 7 years on it?
Also I seen about pip where you have to now get 4 points for the Daly living I got 2 on some of them that add up to 10 points that give me lower end of pip and I got the full 12 points for mobility on just one out of the 2 as the other 1 got nothing and that ends in 2028 sometime I know by then I be in my 40s and my health is bad now I can't handle bits as of now so don't want to even think of what 40 plus me is going to be like but like everyone right now I am concerned and I seen all the people saying that most of the people on pip don't want to work and sit on there back side all day getting as they call it free money and that really irritates me as I work for years to I had a injury at work and then my health as decided over the years along with my mental wellbeing so I did work I can't no longer do it and I hope that that someone that is working making good enough money then losing it all and having no choice but to go on benefits it's a big change like I can't afford what I could when I was working at a full time wage
Any way sorry going of topic there as anyone have any ideas on what to expect going forward any help on this matter would be greatfall

I'm another of the ones effected by the new 4 points rule and won't be eligible when reassessed next year. And the party line that it's to help people get back into work is absolute nonsense. I DO work (30 hours a week) and it's Pip that enables me to keep doing that because it funds the therapies and help I need to continue working. Without that help I honestly don't know how much longer I can keep doing it. It's already tough now. So this could be the tipping point for me.

I cannot believe, truly how brutal they are being but also so arrogant its worse than the WFP axe. They cant accept people have different levels of sickness and disability.
I waited 14 years to see the Tories kicked out and replaced by Tories II a straight to streeting sequel, who seems to think shouting his mouth off about everything solves everything.
there are thousands of people just waiting for NHS ops then get back to work, they know this
Nah lets spaff the money on these "reforms" instead.

I also have cervical spondylosis, chiari malformation, amongst other things and my husband washes my hair and my back etc I still only ever get 2 points

No, they dont ask what were spending on. I think one of the main things is if we're filtering money out into anothet account and bumping our savings up (chance would be a fine thing!)
Also any large sums of money moving around. I think it's more for fraud.
I was worried because Id recently adopted a rescue cat for £100 and I thought she might say I shouldnt be spending on things like that, but she was quite the opposite actually and said how good pets are for people with health problems.
So I don't think there's anything to worry about 🙂
Let us know how it goes won't you.

I've been thinking this as well. I don't know if it will effect the likes of me or any other current claimants. I'm currently on ESA (CB) and in the support group at present. I did raise some of your points you mentioned when I was filling in my response to the Green Paper.

but this measure is up for consultation and I hope it can be legally appealed. So 🤞🏻

I have started using cash more and won't be told I can't .based on the amount of scams etc at the moment I feel safer using cash 🤷🏻♀️

I'm not sure. We need clarification on this.

I think next time we need to record ourselves even if they do as their equipment can “ breakdown “ . Now we will all have to go to appeal over this as you should get 4? Points . The tribunal will be busy . This happened with the DLA to PIP . It will cost to train extra tribunal staff as it did before

Chiari malformation is one of the investigations theyre looking into for myself. Also, have
spondylosis+ c5-6-7 spinal stenosis.
Im not sure how low my cerebellum tonsils drop; from the MRI's ,it doesn't look as jammed down into the spinal column as some other folks, but nonetheless!
I'm convinced it's what's affecting my vision: bright zipping lights and flashes that are peripheral. Although i have this one zipper, like a grain of rice-coloured electric blue lol that comes in from outfield to quick centre then off again😂.. seems to have a darker centre!
Had my eyes checked extensively, twice; and got the all-clear for the eyeballs, so!..😎..
I had read the cerebellum tonsils is where vision is linked?🤷

I think I heard is mentioned that assessors will be more skilled.
Even if this is the case; many GPS are'nt necessarily adept at times.
I have a long convo with a lovely lady from CA who i detected,,as we proceeded to chat; had far more general knowledge of my co-morbid's and symptoms; than many assessors and some gps!
I had to ask her if she had a medical degree. She mentioned that she had worked in the "field"(she didn't stipulate) in the past. In 7+yrs of interviews, she was hands down the most knowledgeable person I had chatted to concerning my issues. Whereas the assessor who came to my home 6+yrs ago, who was an ex-paramedic; had no general clue concerning my specific ailments.
So what skills will these new or retrained assessors, have?. They've often given me zeroes, where corroborating evidence was given by an entire team of specialists, that should have given me close to maximum points.
