The changes haven't been passed yet .at review emphasise how you are on your worst days and appeal the outcome if necessary. In any case I thought nothing could happen until nov 2026 so shouldn't you be scorednunder the current system anyway?

I think you're right but after a quick google search I think you need to tell them in advance - perhaps during the re-assesment form or something stating you want to make sure nothing is overlooked/forgotten or that your conditions make it hard for you to remember things.
Ironically I think recording sessions is one thing this damn reform is suggesting to make standard practice.

I was not aware of plans to change descriptors, just adding 4 point minimum for one activity from nov 26

Oh it's austerity 2.0 definately but they just use different names.

Alongside levelling up the rate, this change would end the indefinite entitlement to contributory
ESA
for those assessed as having limited capability for work-related activity (for new people claiming).
That’s my understanding from the above.
I’m not in favour btw

I'm wondering if this will affect new claimants only at present? Hopefully in the coming days/weeks we will hear from the horses mouth so to speak what's going to happen.

No one said anything about mobility being affected in the announcement

I didn't know about telling them advance so thanks for that. I could've tripped up on that!
Funny though that loads of utility companies, doctors surgeries etc. have been recording stuff for years, which they remind us about regularly during the conversation (they have with me anyway) and I thought it sounded like a bit of a threat.1 -
Where does it say that wil lose esq if on the support group on indefinite aware for permanent condition?

TThere has been NO announcement of changes to mobility pip

It says for new peopl claiming snd it does not say in the support group

limited capability for work-related activity
that’s the support groupIt’s all very confusing and we need clarification

Nothing is changing before nov 26 so I don't see how am imminent review will affect you yet based on new plans which aren't even legislated yet

You already can only be on CB ESA in the work activity group for 12 months, that was brought in years ago , it's only support group ESA that isn't time limited present

I asked this out of interest - they said I had to get friends or family to take a picture (or that my carer could take one).
Just a thought, are you on a laptop? you might be able to take a photo from there.
Otherwise I would tell them that you don't have a device to take a photo. See what they say.
I hope this makes you feel a bit better. 🙂0 -
I don't know why you are working as nothing will affect you potentially for 7 years and by then you could be more disabled anyway

Typo.. ...should say worrying not working

earlier I watched on YouTube about an SNP also resigning. His resignation letter summed was shameful to starmer

It can (and depending on the person) often genuinely feel like a threat, but there is also the logic of protection for you, and the other person over what was actually said, if there is an accusation of inappropriate language or behaviour. I think people are hardwired to behave better on camera. it's never nice or easy to be told you're being recorderd but it'll be very different to see how assessors react. Also I'm a big believer in as much as possible getting everything written down and emailed as an extra layer of proof.
With telling them in advance I think it's just to cover yourself (and them) - legally I'm not sure where the law is on recording people without their consent. I think the real legal problems start if you record them and they don't know, giving their consent may be another issue, but it's something I will try to check out what the law says.

In the Green paper they state that when they remove the WCA system, LCWRA will be replaced by a health top up. There will be two ways to get this health top up.
Either
If you have LCWRA prior to April 2026. and then you have another WCA after April 2026, and that keeps you in the LCWRA category, or if you have PIP daily living. They are reactivating WCA's but not for everyone at once, they are going to prioritise specific claimants. This is in the Green paper.
Logic dictates they will want as little people as possible with the health top up, so I think people who currently get PIP daily living, especially with a 4 point descriptor might be lower priority to have a WCA. This is my assumption, the actual priorities stated have little details other than prognosis length and reason for the most recent WCA.2
