limited capability for work-related activity
that’s the support groupIt’s all very confusing and we need clarification

Nothing is changing before nov 26 so I don't see how am imminent review will affect you yet based on new plans which aren't even legislated yet

You already can only be on CB ESA in the work activity group for 12 months, that was brought in years ago , it's only support group ESA that isn't time limited present

I asked this out of interest - they said I had to get friends or family to take a picture (or that my carer could take one).
Just a thought, are you on a laptop? you might be able to take a photo from there.
Otherwise I would tell them that you don't have a device to take a photo. See what they say.
I hope this makes you feel a bit better. 🙂0 -
I don't know why you are working as nothing will affect you potentially for 7 years and by then you could be more disabled anyway

Typo.. ...should say worrying not working

earlier I watched on YouTube about an SNP also resigning. His resignation letter summed was shameful to starmer

It can (and depending on the person) often genuinely feel like a threat, but there is also the logic of protection for you, and the other person over what was actually said, if there is an accusation of inappropriate language or behaviour. I think people are hardwired to behave better on camera. it's never nice or easy to be told you're being recorderd but it'll be very different to see how assessors react. Also I'm a big believer in as much as possible getting everything written down and emailed as an extra layer of proof.
With telling them in advance I think it's just to cover yourself (and them) - legally I'm not sure where the law is on recording people without their consent. I think the real legal problems start if you record them and they don't know, giving their consent may be another issue, but it's something I will try to check out what the law says.

In the Green paper they state that when they remove the WCA system, LCWRA will be replaced by a health top up. There will be two ways to get this health top up.
Either
If you have LCWRA prior to April 2026. and then you have another WCA after April 2026, and that keeps you in the LCWRA category, or if you have PIP daily living. They are reactivating WCA's but not for everyone at once, they are going to prioritise specific claimants. This is in the Green paper.
Logic dictates they will want as little people as possible with the health top up, so I think people who currently get PIP daily living, especially with a 4 point descriptor might be lower priority to have a WCA. This is my assumption, the actual priorities stated have little details other than prognosis length and reason for the most recent WCA.2 -
Thank you. No just a desktop and I dont really have anyone that could help (and im pretty uncomfortable with pictures). I'm guessing at worst. I'd have to go to the jobcentre to prove it's me?

There already is a severe category the Tories made, but is very little information on it, other than it is very few people. There was some information on this group in another community, but sadly the information got lost as that community got shut down. It might be a different group not necessarily this group, the green paper doesnt really give any details on it.

I have seen multiple interviews now from mainstream media trying to put pressure on ministers, but they dodging the questions with the usual tripe.
Also it seems there is a planned date, I guess I missed it when reading the Green paper, but several credible media outlets have said November 2026 the 4 point rule will come in, so not far away, only a year and a half.
It seems so many people dont understand the descriptor points system and is a huge amount of confusion.0 -
LouCie61, I had my UC review a couple of months ago. I do not have a smart phone and am no good at tech. My reviewer said if you can get into the job centre or even get someone else to go into the job centre on your behalf you can take all your evidence to them. In the end, my son took photos of everything and uploaded them for me. I would never have been able to do it myself and found that part a lot more stressful than the actual review.

this is standard practice for them imo . My first pip after being on DLA. Zero points , I got some from MR which apparently isn’t easy but they saw how much evidence I submitted. It went to 2nd tier taking two years . But it’s in my notes I will fight them ( not sure if it makes a difference though) . Did you fill forms yourself ? If you did you also need advice with the form. Also need help and supporting evidence for MR . Record assessment and tell them . In my experience these things first time is a real fight with many ppl regardless of condition. A lot of it is luck of who you get assessment day as bad as that is. But don’t give up that’s what they want .

Never thought of taking a photo of my MRI that way I didnm request it but they come out with some waffle as to why I couldn't have it.
This site has alot of info and other fellow Chiarians
I was told mine was mild but none of my symptoms are mild so I'm not having that ! Prob is alot of neuros don't know much about it themselves .which is why I'm now speaking with kings . Hopefully you'll get somewhere with st Thomas's. Write down every little symptom that you have you'll be surprised how many issues a chiari can cause . My local hospital sent me away at first stating it was a migraine ! I couldn't even move I was in a horrific mess so I went there daily till they done MRIs . Iv had 2 now of my brain and had a recent one of spine . I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get somewhere . I did try to drop you a message but couldn't but feel free to message me if needed .
